• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Took out my morimoto led fogs and installed some DD ss3 pros in yellow. Tough to get good pics in a garage and I’m to old to want and spend time in the cold getting better pics.

Dealership confirms it’s the timing cover that’s leaking. I’m 2016 with 35k miles. They aren’t willing to budge giving any consideration for the mileage. Repair quote $4778.63

Guess I’ll be calling corporate to see if they might step up some. Or it’s going to keep leaking.

Had the local muffler shop weld in a OEM Pro muffler to my Off Road Tacoma. Bought it on offer up for 100. Install was 75. 175 total Sounding great and getting awesome smiles per miles !!!!

That looks great with those wheels! What did you do in the back?
Thank you! Toytec 3AAL (I think it is made by Deaver?). I liked this one because I didn't have to cut the rear clip on the stock pack. Bilstein 5160, 1/4 inch axle shims. Total rear lift ~ 23.5" hub to fender.

I think I'm going to end up going AAL, but I think just a single one from Icon will work for my application. I do some wheeling, so I'm really not interested in a block. Anyone have any suggestions?

Spent a few hours today installing the suspension I snagged from @gelsi2033 Thanks again for the super fast shipping! Install was breeze. I’ll order a AAL this weekend, I honestly didn’t expect the rear to sit this low.

Looks great! Post some more pics when complete! Did you decide on the type of AAL?

My case is in with corporate. It’s a waiting game for an answer. Tried to put my best foot forward when talking with my case manager. He admitted they had others with the same issue at least

Looking good!!

Picked up an RSI Smartcap from @2016TRD4x4 Yesterday. Now trying to figure out how to run lighting like I have on the Victory rack. This thing is growing on me.

So used to seeing it with a rack I feel like I'm looking at someone else's truck

Installed the BAMF Rear Dif Skid plate for Moab. Thanks @Trudog for the hookup. Also installed the tailgate insert from Hooke Offroad. No issues whatsoever, not even with closing the tailgate and the stoppers (unlike some in the reviews). Pretty impressed with this product at a fraction (1/3) of the cost of others.
