I figured I could make them for far cheaper and those wouldn't fit my stock roof racks anyway. So this happened:

Yes. The plastic liners were cut and the pinch welds were hammered flat. They used some kind of rubber spray to make it waterproof.It looks like the inner plastic was removed and then coated with a rubbery something?
Undercoat was most likely used it stays soft and rubber to "avoid chipping when impacted by debre"It looks like the inner plastic was removed and then coated with a rubbery something?

Sorry for the double, this is what I was try for
Today I put the factory grill back on so i can use my cruise control again.
Added predator steps today... IDK... I was hoping I was going to love them more than I do. Maybe they'll grow on me. On the bright side, my three year old daughter can now climb in, so I guess that's a win

Why are your U-bolts flipped from stock?
