• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

So I was shopping around and I saw these: https://hi-lift.com/accessories/tube-mount/

I figured I could make them for far cheaper and those wouldn't fit my stock roof racks anyway. So this happened:

Just in the prototype stage right now. I need to cut the high points off. Do some tweaking.

Finally got them installed:

It looks like the inner plastic was removed and then coated with a rubbery something?
Undercoat was most likely used it stays soft and rubber to "avoid chipping when impacted by debre"

Got a new grill. It came pretty close to matching my mgm. But I’m going to eventually paint it black.

New member here. Over the past few weeks I've done a few things to my Tacoma.

Neoprene seat covers
Center console tray
The upgraded kicker tweeters
Gear track (my favorite)

Today (well, yesterday night) I installed my Sumo Springs and installed ONE of my Bed Stiffeners. I couldn't get the big Torx bolt that connect the bed out. Came very close to stripping the bolt. It's marinading in Liquid Wrench now. I'll take it to the shop tonight for more extreme measures if necessary

New wheels and tires! 17x8.5 scs ray10s and 265/70/17 falken wildpeak at3w tires. I'm so in love with this setup! Pics don't do it justice. I'm on stock suspension btw.

New tires on yesterday. Falken wildpeaks 265/75r16. But couldn’t install my new icon 2.0 rear shocks for the 2nd week now as they didn’t pack the bushings with them and are being slow to ship them to me.

Today I put the factory grill back on so i can use my cruise control again.

Aw man you should have just got the OEM glass Garnish; you would’ve been fine! You’ve already made your decision, but you know what? The OEM Sport grille doesn’t look so bad when that gets plastidipped or painted black!

Added predator steps today... IDK... I was hoping I was going to love them more than I do. Maybe they'll grow on me. On the bright side, my three year old daughter can now climb in, so I guess that's a win

looking good man! If for absolutely nothing else, those steps are the absolute best door-ding defenders I think!

Honestly man, giving your daughter better access to the truck is definitely a win.
