• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

Tacoma3G is a beginner-friendly 3rd Generation Toyota Tacoma (2016-2023 model-years) forum. We are a community of people who are focused on good information and good vibes.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

damn dude, that's gnarly! Never seen anything use a rubber o-ring in that location. I see that as a way to trap water and debris into that spherical rood end causing the damage that you're seeing.

Yeah it was pretty bad. It's all wrapped up and fixed now though. Certainly sucked for that week the truck was down.

Kayak season is in full swing and I pick up my new one tomorrow. So my dad an I worked on a little project to help load them a lot easier. I modified a rhino rack pioneer roller to fit between the rails on the prinsu. Added an additional cross bar to keep it sturdy and it turned out great. Gonna test it out tomorrow.

I finally got around to installing the leveling kit from Teraflex. Rides better. Looking forward to getting larger tires later.

Rear diff breather and oil change. I wanted to do the front diff but the plugs use a hex bit, so now I got to go buy one of those.

So we got crazy the other day. We wanted to step the truck up and help with visibility for Tacoma3G as well as highlight the vendors who have committed to supporting our fundraiser to benefit first responders.

If you'd like to learn more about our fundraiser, and donate you can do so by going to...

Or

So without further ado...

We wrapped the truck. We wanted to keep the truck similar the pattern @Malcolm used for his truck for continuity among the staff members. @Tyler has got slightly different plans for his as he is the big ?. ?

We also were able to finally make a mod happen that I have been wanting for quite some time. I was finally able to get some of the dopest wheels on the market for our trucks, fifteen52 Turbomac HD Classics in carbon gray.

I'm absolutely in love with these wheels and couldn't be happier with the end result. fifteen52 had always had incredible designs with their wheels. And when they started making wheels for trucks they immediately went on my wishlist. Now I need bigger tires. Hahahaha

Today I put the factory grill back on so i can use my cruise control again.

I did this. 3' wingspan buzzard straight into the grille and lower bumper. He flew right into it. State protected species so you have to call it in to DNR or LEOs. Cops watched three guys at the dealership take the grille off and run like heck outta the way. Bird flew off like it was nothing. I was going about 50 when he smacked into me. $2200 dollars worth of damage. Thank god for insurance and low deductibles. Who knew the grille was the most expensive piece? $514.00 for some plastic that clips in.

Dealership in N. GA said they have used this incident as a "textbook" case and apparently SE Toyota group is interested in figuring out how to address these types of situations. The owner of the dealership was asking a lot of questions today about how it happened and asked if he could share my name and contact info with the SE Toyota group. Got lots of laughs and WTFs all around.

That's so crazy. I thought for sure it wouldn't survive. Glad it did.

$500 for a new grill (sr5?)? Might as well get the TRD pro grill for that price.

Well shit. I guess my plan to back in and easily pull the tent up to garage ceiling is a bust.
