• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

I got my relocation done.

DAMN GINA!

Last night flashed my truck to OVtune, night and day difference. I like the now linear feel of the throttle. Just need to get to learning how to build off of this tune to make something a little better.

Went to crazy town and installed some BD lp9s up front. Which of course required me to build a custom grille to fit the back spacing of them. I think it turned out pretty slick.

I was in Taco Paradise yesterday.
Sitting at the Toyota Service Center in Bozeman and Taco after Taco just pulled up. Three had gone through before I started taking pics.
Mine got the 30K service (technically 28K).

I’ve been fighting the rain while trying to upgrade our camper’s fans. Of course, only when I have a big gaping hole in my truck does it decide to rain for 2 straight days with no breaks, lol.

Well. Like most things we do, this fan upgrade did not go well so far. Yesterday, we installed the second one. We tested it before install and it worked. Tested it again after install and it worked. About 20 minutes later we turned it on again because it got hot out, and it would appear it short-circuited. If connected to power (which it is), it stays on at high speed and none of the buttons or remote will control it. So I had to cut the wires to make it stop and I’m probably going to need to replace its circuit board when customer service gets back to me. 🙃

5 tire rotation at about 2700 miles for 35s. First time rotating tires on a vehicle that has hub centric wheels (4Runner TRD Pro wheels) and it made it so much easier to not gouge up the lug nut holes on the lugs like what would happen with lug centric wheels. Also, used my new 3 Ton aluminum floor jack.

I don’t have it tied I to the battery yet but I got my Overland Equipped AUX Power kit installed! Wanted to get this in before I started adding ditch lights and other accessories. I’m going to upgrade the battery terminals with KnuKonceptz before connecting the new fuse block. I have those ready but I’ll need to wait for this weekend to get those installed.
