After 2 years on 265's, I finally bought 285's w/USAA 25% discount on Goodyear.

Only downside is they only had E rated in stock so I will be waiting 2 weeks to have the D rated ordered and installed. With rebates the 5 installed will come in under $1,200 which I thought wasn't terrible considering current tire prices.

About 30 more hours put into the audio install over the last week and it's getting close to being wrapped up. All speakers installed, crossovers mounted, almost 100' of speaker wire ran, and amp rack modified a bit. Pushing 12g wire thru the door accordion tubes on this truck is up there with the least fun things I've ever done. It's so much work to make it look like you didn't change anything, but at least my speakers match my wheels lol.

Curious to know how it sounds, once done.

I swapped out the pizza cutters for some C-rated BFGs. Way better in the snow and way better ride with the lighter casings. There are a LOT more options in the 285/70 17 size. And they're 5 - 10 pounds lighter than an E-Rated. I can already tell the performance and mileage has improved.

Almost makes me want to try a P-Metric tire!

Everyone getting big boy tires and I'm over here rubbing. Maybe I need to just pull my spacers. :(

Today I was able to flash OTT - Mild - Medium. Hope I like it.
Only drove it 5 miles to work. Throttle response is better. Was on Valley Runner and I guess I was just missing out all this time.
Before it was like it would rev up before moving. Now it feels like an instant response and stays in one gear.
A lot of people reported better gas mileage. So I'm hoping that holds true for me. We'll see. I might just be too used to compacts.

They rub, even with my lift and zero offset wheels. But not the cab mount. I don't think.

Yeah, I'm on 16x8et0 with 1.25" spacers. After swapping lifts I think it stopped rubbing on the cabin mount. But I think it rubs and squeals on the sway bar even with the relocation kit. I really have to look at it and figure out what I'm gonna do with the liner.

A good day. Trail ride with the Jeep crowd this evening.

They are actually a very good group despite having Jeeps :)

Tested newly installed Tundra spec Kings from Accutune to replace 5160's.

Got a little carried away and knocked the leaf pack out of alignment.

It is always something.........
