The horizontal box on the roof rack is perfect. That's exactly what I'm going to do with mine.
Thank you!
Nice! The RTL looks really good with that set up!Installed one of my Plano cases on the rack in front of the Drifter. I originally had them set up to run lengthwise along the truck. Once the Drifter was installed I had to remove one and mount a single one across the truck. I didn't have to drill more holes as I was able to just move one of the bars.

My wife also installed a couple of interior pull straps to make closing the windoors from the inside a bit easier.

Last I wired up my @Baja Designs RTL (rear tail light) and mounted it inside the drifter under the glass.

Plenty more to do. Hopefully I can stay productive as I have the next couple of days off.

Really curious on how it feels on trail vs cap with rtt too heavy wise if the weight distribution makes it feel better on off camber obstacles. Eventually I’d love to ditch the cap rtt for something more streamline and lower center of gravity but wondering if these camper shells are that much different or notGot out to Ocotillo Saturday night. Started at our usual spot. No crazy exploring, just used it as a trip to test out our new camp loadout and to get away from the city for a night.

I think his is probably better than your setup. I’m not sure how mine will be.Really curious on how it feels on trail vs cap with rtt too heavy wise if the weight distribution makes it feel better on off camber obstacles. Okay if it felt way better I’d be selling the cap and rtt in a heartbeat to fund one but I guess it’ll stay as a down the line purchaseHonestly the truck feels pretty similar to when we had the shell and RTT. The old setup was definitely pretty heavy as the fiberglass is heavy and the tent is too. This new setup doesn't feel any worse, not sure of it's better yet either as we haven't done major off camber. So far it feels stable though.

I'm not worried about weight per say I'm already fucked, more on if it feels less top heavy on off camber situations on trailsI will add, we also now have front and rear bumpers. So the "doesn't feel much different" is including having added bumpers to the truck.
That’s why I would think the camper would help because it puts most of your weight in the bed. Granted, the bed and the top of the camper are still up there, so it still wouldn’t be as good as nothing at all. But I have seen videos of people wheeling the different camper variations.I'm not worried about weight per say I'm already fucked, more on if it feels less top heavy on off camber situations on trails
You guys have done an outstanding job on this rig!
