Geauxtaco on TW created a very in depth list of the 3rd Gen Tacoma bumper offerings. I went ahead and updated the MSRP's, and current availability.

All manufacturers are in alphabetical order.

I love the Hefty Fabworks Slimline... And all the others like it. I'm trying to keep that balance between an everyday driver and offroad capable.
 
Does anyone know if there are any of the "slim" front bumpers (the ones that go where the black plastic is on the factory bumper) that don't involve any cutting? Really don't want to start cutting up my new truck Thanks

So far they all involve cutting a portion unless you get yourself a Bush bar. They wont due much but hold lights

Yeah I kinda figured,. Not a fan of bush bars at all so I guess I'll stay stock.

I'm starting to compile info on front bumpers here....

That said, most all require a bit of cutting. The low profile styles as well. There are a few that only require you to cut inside the area that is already covered by the factory center portion. Some you have to cut the lip around that center portion, and some require cutting outside the lip.

If I'm not mistaken the Hefty Fabworks and Southern Style Offroad offerings require the least cutting. The SOS Offroad Concepts is probably next.

You can research all of the low profile options in the thread referenced above. If you find another company making a different low profile bumper mot listed, please let me know and I'll add it to the list.
 
I thought the Warn semi hidden winch bumper required no cutting. I seem to remember that was their selling point when they came out. I may be mistaken. I just glanced through the instructions on it and it has one step that says “trim plastic as needed”. But I think it’s some plastic on the inside. May want to check that product out.

Oh it won’t be 20 days old when you do the cutting, it will be more like 3 months and 20 days old as the wait for these things is crazy. I have a SSO Slimline hybird on order and dread the cut but love the look as it looks factory. The Warn to me doesn’t look as good as the SSO but you can have it this week and little to no cutting.
 
This should be up on our site soon. The only cutting it requires is at the bottom of the factory bumper plastic (see photo below.) That cut would be covered if you ever reinstalled the factory bumper cover. You could epoxy that piece back in before you install that factory bumper plastic thing, but I don't think it's necessary.

Anyone know why Hefty Fabwork's website shows this other bumper but doesn't have it for sale? It is a really nice looking bumper. Is it an old model? I am interested in it.

Southern style off-road just posted some pics on fb with there new addition to the slim line. It looks freaking sweet too. They’ve had this type of product out for the 4runner for a bit.

I couldn't find these on there website yet, would be a great addition to mine

Yeah it is very cool to see an “modular” type bumper. According to SSO, they will be offering a full bumper like it instead of having to do the three pieces. So that is cool too. It has a very similar look to the Colorado ZR2 bumper.

That is pretty cool that whether someone has already purchased the slim style or not, will be able to purchase that style.
 
I know this won't apply to most of the people on here, but if there are any Canadians looking, Green Lane Offroad is making aluminum trail armour on the west coast. Haven't bought any yet but I have heard good things.

They have a slim line bumper and are working on a full front bumper as well.
