LOOK WHO IS BACK! This still feels unreal. This blue K10 was my first truck, bought in 2009 for $800. Paige and I have so many memories in it, including our first date. It has a 350 and a fully locked rear; it always did the best burnouts and drifts. I beat the hell out of it, as a teenager would, and even blew up two engines (third time is a charm). I sold it for $400 when I left for the Marine Corps in 2013 and haven’t seen it since. This week, the owner contacted me and ASKED IF I WANT IT BACK. I couldn’t believe he still had it. He never touched it; title is still in my name and it still has a NY inspection sticker on the window from 2011. We were able to get it started relatively easy with some ether shots to the carb. I drove it to its new resting spot at my mother’s house, 5 miles away, with no plates on it. To reduce our chance of getting in trouble, we threw a tow rope on the Tacoma and “flat-towed” it, even though I still drive it under its own power. I know exactly what I’ll be doing with her after I get done with the road life. Crew cab body, no bed, fully caged, and 40s on built 1-tons. And then it’s going to Moab.
