• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Spent the last few days out in eastern Oregon. Got a bunch of shots for when I'm able to compete in ROTM again. This is in the Ochoco National Forest.

I also started pulling apart the console to look for a better way to mount/run the wiring for the CB and I had an idea to make a power center for the backseat both to power it AND give my kids a way to charge their phones without bothering me. I'm just going to bypass/delete the in-console plug and run it to this. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T9HC65T/?tag=tacoma3g-20

I ran a 12 volt and usb port into the back of the console and wired it to my blue sea so its always running, no more cap so my fridge will run off the 12 and if the fridge isnt back there whoevers in back has a charger. Can grab pics tomorrow if you want them

Absolutely!

Trucks off and always hot goes to a 10amp fuse on the blue (I think I used 10) and got it from west marine

Excellent, that looks very similar to what I want to do. Thanks!

Today, I modified my 2016 Tacoma ACLB, TRD Off Road in such a manner that I now get 180mpg, my HP has increased to 2000 horses, women flock to my truck as if it were exuding magnetic pheromones AND when I'm sharing the road with others, they move out of the way yielding to Tacoma greatness. All it took was applying this nifty little sticker to my rear window, who knew!?! Okay, the photo sucks but I have to drastically reduce the resolution in order for them to upload.

I have that installed in my bed in the door on the right side. Super handy.

Are you planning to cut yours? I'd be interested. Maybe send you mine in a partial trade or something.
Just poking sticks, gonna take it on some *cough* totally legal *cough* trails after and see where it’s gonna rub at full flex and see. If the flares got to be cut I’ll let you know and we’ll figure something out. Got the scs br6 with the -38 offset so gonna find out Monday

That’s my co-worker Kyle running the plasma gun.

For the most part everything went smooth. After everything was bolted on noticed that the U402R was on the left and U402L was on the right. Not sure why it matters, but swapped them anyway.

Once we got it all back together for the second time. My other co-worker noticed we put the bolt through the wrong side of the shackle (bolt was going to hit the hanger). Damn it! With the aide of a 5’ crowbar and some cussing got it straightened out.
