• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Put on the carbon Tacoma decals for the tailgate from Tacoma lifestyle and put in a order for a trd front skid plate

2nd Mod.. MX4. Bed mat, Predator step, remote tail gate lock, spare tire lock, 3M tint 50% on 7, 70% clear on windshield, glass breakage sensor. Done

Did you drill for the drain tubes?
I recommend these:

Also thing width adhesive foam for under the rails. Tailgate seal. Then RTV the seals. Really cuts down water going in. Then cut foam for the gap here:

I may also still have the print files for an add-on insert to close up the gap. 3D print a more finished spacer.

If it happens to be older stock, they also offer an update kit for cheap.

Swapped the OEM tailgate insert out today for the Hooke Road Tacoma Tailgate Insert. Re-used the OEM screws, but a few of them seem to barely reach, so stay tuned.

Other observations:
Heavy,THICK, sturdy
Tolerences barely lined up with screw holes, but did eventually (read: push against shit)(It's thick)
The dampening on the tailgate is depreciated by 50% in my estimation. The additional weight obvisouly affects it.
It looks great
It has cupholders recessed spots!
Seems like a great addition for $129

Details and price?
I want to build one. Also doubles as a HOA nuisance. Take up a public guest spot.

Was looking at the M416 trailers or one of those DIY weld frames.
