Do you have photos of the fender well work you did? Im working on getting 35's stuffed in the truck and my 33's hit the inner sheet metal of my fender well so I know I will need to clearance to make them fit.Since I cut into my fenders to tub for 37x12.5, and welded new steel fender liner in, my battery didn’t fit in the same spot or orientation anymore, so I got a larger optima yellow top battery, welded up a quick battery box out of some leftover scrap steel I had, then I welded up some quick brackets and a plate that I used to mount some distribution blocks, replaced my terminals with military style terminals, upgraded some wires and some grounding, and tidied things up a little bit...
still not the cleanest, but it’ll do, not too bad for a couple hours putzing around after work and having a few beers.
NOICE! Yeah I am wanting to do the exact same thing you did but only trying to fit 35's... Under full compression with my 33's they touch that inner part of the fender sheet metal whenever I jump the truck which has caused tearing in the sheet metal of the core support on both sides of the truck. Here’s some before during and after carnage in no particular order, these are on my phone I have more on my computer, none of the finished after the fenders were back on that really show the inside after the multiple coats of Bedliner, on the couple after paint and seam seal, or from in the engine bay. I’ve never done anything like this, didn’t really find too much information online, don’t really have any welding skill at all, and used scrap stainless steel plate that was way thicker than needed and hard to work with, but overall I think it came out fine, can’t tell at all from the inside even after cutting back the firewall a bunch, after the fenders and bedliner you can’t really even tell unless you know what you’re looking at, and I actually over stuffed the wheels past the point of bottoming my shocks out and the wheels turn lock to lock without touching at all, so I’m happy with it. Oh and I did also plasma cut my cab mounts off and welded on new alpine designs cab mount relocation mounts.View attachment 30758View attachment 30761View attachment 30762View attachment 30763View attachment 30764View attachment 30765View attachment 30766View attachment 30767
Good looking Pooch!
Noticeable difference?
Is there an automatic cutoff in water crossing?
Can you please elaborate more on this mod. The why-when and how
Off loads the engine driven belt, less drag. While no direct horsepower gains, increases the energy available for movement, consequently more fuel efficient. Can you please elaborate more on this mod. The why-when and how
Nice. Is this a direct bolt on replacement?
I really don't know ,but i am going to check into it! Would be nice to know.Is there an automatic cutoff in water crossing?
Yes it is and it fits really nice and very easy to install!Nice. Is this a direct bolt on replacement?
I was told there is a HP gain aswell!Off loads the engine driven belt, less drag. While no direct horsepower gains, increases the energy available for movement, consequently more fuel efficient.
To be honest i haven't felt any power increase i was just looking for a better cooling system for off roading on long hot slow trails. I am still getting use to it the sound from the fan is a little loud on the outside but inside its fine. This is the biggest and most powerful fan they make i was told. The real test will come when it gets warm out!Noticeable difference?

I recommend something, back in 2011 I had a 87 SR5 that I added a electric fan to and forgot about it on a water crossing, end up losing the fan and a radiator when the blades hit the water and explodedI really don't know ,but i am going to check into it! Would be nice to know.
Its from Tacoma world thread.Link to the fan setup?
That blue really 'pops' in the sunlight!
