I've tried a bunch of stuff to keep my ARB bumper from fading, and finally found something worth mentioning. 3M Silicone Paste.

Slather it on nice and thick, knock back a few beers, then wipe it off as much as you can. I did it on a hot day in case it helped with penetration into the pores, no idea if it helped or not. I suspect the beer might be optional, but why risk it?

Now the bumper is dark black again, has a nice degree of reflectivity, feels slightly slick, and actually repels dust.

Next I'm going to try it on some of the buff exterior plastic trim.

Silicon, it makes life better in so many ways.

+1 for beer.

Spent the last two weeks driving around the western states. Sierras, Lassen, Shasta, Bend, Redwoods, Big Sur. Good times, but I'm pooped.

Also ordered some new goodies from @C4 Fabrication . Yes, a big order. Also got the @runnin4tacos can mount relocation arriving tomorrow, and just got a Dobinson snorkel in today. Install all coming soon enough.

How was that much driving on the 35s? They really fit the DCLB

They definitely fit the truck better aesthetically. I definitely lost an mpg or 2. There were stretches where I got 11 mpg, and others where I got 15. Overall I think I still think I lost an mpg or two. They are definitely louder than an AT, but not over the top. Still some might not like it. I'm working on the issues with rubbing as they definitely still rub but hopefully I'll get it sorted in time. The feel the Toyo's provide offroad is epic. My wife described it while we were doing 50+ as "floating on marshmallows." And that was fully aired up. We were both very happy.

As a whole thing, I'd say that 35's really aren't for everyone. I love the look, the capability they've provided off-road, and I'm fine with the noise and bit of mpg decrease.

In reality, it needs to be said though, 35's are way more work than most like to admit. They are not plug and play. I'm up for the challenge of getting them to fit without being an amazing fab shop but it's work.

That second ones already come in to play. Along with the angle grinder getting a workout. ????
The angle grinder (y):sneaky: the persuader, my next set of tires will be 34 ,35s and bring all 3 boys out to play hopfully by that time I'll actually finish my cab mount chop :D

Went and took the truck offloading for the first time.
