• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What did you purchase recently?

I just purchased a Harrop Eaton electric locker. I have a appointment next week to get it installed. (y)

I had the shop install the rear locker all I have left to do is wiring.

Everything installed and loving it

I just bought a camping table and a couple of camping chairs from REI. I'm going to see how the table and chairs workout once they get delivered. Unsure if the table size is going to be a little excessive. ?‍♂️

The table price seems slightly excessive, but the table itself looks very useful. It’s big but how else would you play beer pong in the woods?

We just threw our $5 DICKS chairs away. Maybe we need some that are built more like yours.

lol. yes, how else?!

but yea.... that's exactly my thought on the table price. Price is kinda high, but I from what I've read, and there's not that much, it's pretty sturdy. I also thought I could just pop it out if we had any parties or gatherings at the house and we needed more sitting/dining space, but not like that's going to happen anytime soon anyway.

REI gear came in. Chairs are great for what they are, so we'll be keeping them. For me, the Xtra chair is more comfortable than X chair since it is larger, I don't end up having my butt sitting on any of the tubing. X chair is perfect for my wife. One downside if the Xtra chair is it pretty bulky when folded up, but it's not a big deal for me. I'd rather have something I want to sit in when getting into camp.

The table.... I'll be returning it. It is pretty firm and stable when folded out, light, easy to set up, and plenty of working space for cooking on one side and eating on the other. However, it is definitely not worth $100. Also, I think it's too low of a table to have normal chairs sitting around it, as I intended to use it as an extra table when guests came over the house and we needed more seating space. Probably the $75 range is the max I would spend on it and I'll probably just wait until next season when this goes on sale and use the REI coupon again.

Interesting about the table. Did you need a table this season or are you going to just completely hold out for now?

I just ordered load bars for my camper. Feet are next.

I'm just putting together my camping gear now, so I do need a table, but I'll find something cheaper for temporary use. I'll probably just end up getting those white Lifetime tables that fold in half. I could use one of the small ones outside when grilling/smoking meats anyway.

Looks like I better start trimming and order some new wheels.

Method NV 17" and Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 265/70R17 for my DCLB Sport 4x4, also ordered a CaliRaised Faux Pro Grille w/ Raptor lights

I bought 5 all-weather locks made by ABUS yesterday. I'm intending to use these to lock up the shovel, axe, fire extinguisher during my daily drives on pavement. One lock will go for the coolers when I carry them and will have one on stand-by. I hope these work out!

Sig M400 in 5.56. It was a deal too good to pass up.
