Tire Size Fitment and Lift

Nice I'll check that out. I already have a 2" lift so in theory it should work.

3" lift and/or leveling kit

16" wheels - 285/75r/16
255/85r/16

17" wheels - 285/70r/17
255/80r/17
Since the TRD Pro has a small lift in the front, would it fall under this grouping for tire size? Doesn't the lift level the TRD Pros?

I'd say more into the second category is best

Does anyone have 265/75r/16 on stock suspension and wheels? I'd like to see a pic

Mine are -12 with 285/75/16
Nice looking truck

I figured i would throw an end all be all in here to settle the age old question "what tire size will fit".
This is my personal opinion and experience, taking into consideration measurements of the wheel well with the cab mount in mind.
You do not have to follow this chart if you have plans to upgrade relatively soon to getting a bigger tire size as it may not be of major importance if that is your plan.
However, it can give you an idea of what will fit with what in regards to tire size and lift with no cutting/molding.

Stock tire sizes (fits regardless of lift size)
17" wheels - 265/65r/17
16" wheels - 265/70r/16

Largest tire without lift (preferred)

16" wheels - 265/75r/16
255/80r/16

Ty, nice truck as well

I think I'm good here, but want to do a quick double check.

2" Lift - Old Man Emu w/ SPC UCA's
TRD-OR Wheels (16x7 et +25)
Looking at 255/85/r16 - Toyo Open Country MT (E Rating)

I'm trying to not run spacers, but am a bit concerned about hitting the UCAs.

HOW TO DETERMINE TIRE SIZE
ts1.jpg

Benefits/cons of going with LTs
On average carry about 800 to 900 pounds over stock daily. Stock tires are pretty much done at 23000, also they are beat to hell with the places I keep exploring lol, kinda have an idea what I should do just want some more opinions.

I'm upgrading my stock tires to 285/75/16. Wondering if my TPMS (tire pressure monitor sensors) will work with the bigger tires or if I will need new ones?
I may have asked this before, but did you install a suspension lift to fit those 285/75/16, I have 265/65/17 currently

I’m currently getting MR701 17x8 with Falken AT3W 275/75/17 on bilstein’s 6112/5160. However, I found a seller with the SCS Ray 10 that I might be interested instead:

“Brand new HARD TO GET Ray10 "bullet hole" design wheel set by SCS. Purchased and mounted at the shop only to go with a different wheel due to lift. Never been on the road!!!

Color: Matte Gunmetal

Size: 17x9

Bolt Pattern: 6x139.7 (6x5.5 inch)

Backspace: 3.50 inches

Offset: -38mm

Weight: 25lbs”

With my new suspension coming in, will I be able to fit that wheel size and the same Falken tire size? Is that side too big enough that I puke rub? I’m still learning all these numbers and I just wanted a second opinion.

Don't the limiteds have 18" wheels? Got any info on those?
Exactly what I was wondering.. but I’m thinking of waiting on my lift and doing some 17x9 wheels on my Limited and want the biggest tire with no rubbing or cutting/trimming, so I guess I refer back to 265/70/17?

I run 285 75 16 no rub with a 3 inch lift you need 4.50 with 0 backspacing wheels no trimming just had to remove front mud flaps now I wish I would have ran 35s

What lift do you have where you achieved 3" , what is the 4.50 you mentions?

Okay, to make sure I'm understanding this right...I'm currently running the stock 265/70r/16 tires with stock lift and stock rims. So is this saying I can run up to a 265/75r/16 but a 255/80r/16 is preferred? Why is the second one preferred? It looks like it's a taller and narrower tire, is that right?

@Malcolm ?

Nice truck! I'm interested on a 2-2.5 inch lift with 285/70/17 along with the Prinsu roof rack. Question is, how much lift do you have and how much room do you have left up top to park the truck in the garage. Assuming that you have the standard garage height.
