Molle Panel e-bike hands out build.

picked up a new project/toy/overland superlord vehicle. sold my husaberg fe450 and bought an ‘05 BMW R1200GS. it’s got 63k on the clock but got a clean bill of health from the local bmw dealer.

got one immediate maintenance thing to take care of abs/brake fluid flush and then it’s onto toying around. it’s got led headlights and fogs(which will get replaced by some baja designs sqaudrons) gonna mount up some proper tires for dual purpose riding, and ohlins makes proper front and rear shocks (has the telelever fork) and lastly a full remus exhaust deleting the cats.

i’m probably gonna have the tank/shrouds painted red/white in the old marlboro dakar livery.

it’s not fast by any stretch of the imagination but it’s really smooth and quite fun to ride around.

This weekend I made an abrupt left turn. 125K miles, strong VR6. solid trans, really clean body and paint. Looks to be a fairly unmolested car. Fender lips arent even rolled so no stance kid ever had it. Gave it a clay bar and hand wax this weekend. Fix some of the red shit PO had painted. Removed stickers from mirrors.

Gonna go through all the bushings etc replace small items like that. But super stoked to have another toy/project car and such a good strong base.

heard the fitment is on point. upgrading suspension or just changing wheels?

Thats the million dollar question. Only real suspension upgrade worth making is long travel. My wheels are -15et so with a spacer they should be fine. Will just need to jump to a 34/35 probably and solve the problems that comes with that. Trying to figure all of this out before I embark on this journey

Im gonna go down next week and take a look at their truck. They're running a 34" with 17 x 8.5 et0 with a 2" spacer and it looks fine. I think for the time being my 33 17x9 et-15 will be ok with a 1" spacer as the flare lip doesnt look higher than factory just wider. The toyo 34" and my falken are less than 1" different overall.

moving closer to getting some motos in the back. bought and cut down all the red oak for the deck. the question now is what stain / sealant or do i just outdoor paint it black? owned tent up to air out and see how stable everything is.

deciding what method i want to secure boards down. straight through bolts / or run nutserts like i have everywhere else and metric hardware into the nutsert.

No joke man I give u mad props on this!!

yassss. stained / sealed the oak, teak. each plank is double bolted down with stainless m6 hardware into nutserts so removal is simple.

going to pull the planks one more time so i can add an additional cross support to the middle and at that time wire the trailer brakes, and tap the lisc bracket to the running lights for power.

couple more wires and almost road legal. i sold the corrado this saturday and made just under 2k profit so now it’s time to start looking for a new 450/500 4-stroke.
