Upon recent inspection-

My rear driveshaft is still two pieces with a carrier bearing right before transfer case. Welll not sure what’s going here or why it did it but it used to go

Flat from transfer case to carrier bearing
Angle down on the long shaft to the axle
THATS HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO BE

Mine now sits angled all the way from the transfer to the axle. Carrier bearing is like half in half out on the bushing. Sweeeeeet. Looks like I’ll go 1 piece shaft now.

I’ll keep running it until I can get the guys to build me a new driveshaft.

idk if this has to do with the added torque the tacobox produces or what. The carrier bushing was not completly straight before, but better than this. I noticed now it’s all angled and the short shaft is following the line of the long shaft.

Thanks! I’ll eventually be done with it, when it leaves my house lol. It doesn’t get driven much so I enjoy building it, when I have time. I have a vision for it and once I hit that I’ll be good!

I don’t have normal length driveshafts. The tacobox is my suspected cause.

I’ll go one piece when this puppy causes a problem. Right now there is no issue other than looks

Started fittin dem 37s this past week. I’m slow and unmotivated lately but I got the drivers side *kinda* ready. Have to plate it, seam seal it, and undercoat it. I test fitted it the best way I could (jack stand with wood blocks under rear axle until leafs hit bump stops) and it cleared. I will have to go up a little higher on the pinchweld. The real test will be when I go wheeling again.

Getting a new set of 37 12.50 17s so they will be obviously taller than these (current ones are mock ups) and I may have to do some more massaging.

Body mount- can’t say there’s much left of that. I’ll do a relocate but I’ll make my own.

yeah I was too. Then it didn’t perform the way I wanted so it was time. It’s been a progress that’s for sure.

It’s pretty much turning into just a trail rig cause I don’t plan on selling it. Already looking for a tow rig for it lol

Finally got the passenger side cut. I’ve got to plate it and seal it up but I can drive the truck (comfortably) again. With no rubbing on road. I am ready to wheel with these things!

Fixed my dorkel (reattached it to a pillar). Got some nice dents. I’m thinking about caging the cab now. No pics

Ive always loved a 17 on anything bigger than 33. It’s like the look, is right.
