It's been a while but I assure you I have been working crazy hours on T3G2G. I'm finally back with another update!

This preview is about the new design again. I have essentially scrapped what you saw in the previous preview. I'm going for a very modern web look (known as Web 2.0). I understand this type of website styling is not for everyone and I don't expect everyone to move away from our current styles (which will always be available as options).
Anyway...

T3G-2G Preview: #2 {Alpha v1.1.0}
Styling
- Header design
- I have never liked the header of T3G. I'm not a fan of the logo, its size, the way the navigation tabs sit in it, the Tacoma images on the right side, etc. That said, T3G-2G will absolutely have a redesigned header. I've already tried and scrapped many new header designs. But I think I might finally be in the right direction with this one. Please ignore the placeholder logo in the screenshot; it won't look anything like that. I made the navigation tabs much bigger, moved the user account info to the top right of the page, and have some cool ideas for the images that will fill in that entire header area.
- Color scheme(s)
- I've always loved the color options we have for our styles, especially now that we have the dark versions. The new design will still have all the same color options (dark versions included). But I made a noticeable change to their hue(?). They are a little more what I would call... coffee flavored. I'm really liking the toned down versions of these colors.
- Typography
- I knew I wanted to change the main text font to something that feels more modern but I wasn't sure what to use. I think I finally found it. This font is a pretty drastic change from our current styles and might be the change that takes the most getting used to. But I've been using the forum with this font for a bit now and it really grew on me. Definitely feels modern. One might even call it... hipster.
- Additionally, almost all text is slightly bigger than its relative version on the current design.
- Textures
- I'm not sure if you will be able to see it in the screenshot, but there are some speckled-marble-ish looking backgrounds in a lot of the content areas. These textures kind of give it a 3-D look and I think they match the "coffee flavored" color tones well.
Again, this is an extremely early and rough preview. Ignore the logo and anything else that looks unfinished or broken.

Please let me know if the route I'm taking with the new design is completely awful to you. I'd like to dial it in sooner than later. No point in launching it if no one wants to use it.
