• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Any chance we can get updates here on the availability? ...I'm tired of looking at my chrome bumper.

We are certainly working on it! Finishing up a few projects first, but it's coming soon :)

Here are a few renderings of the Toyota Tacoma Dual Swingout Rear Bumper. Feel free to email michael@pelfreybilt.com if you want an ETA based on the options and accessories you're looking for.

Will there be an option to have only the tire swing gate on the bumper?

Awesome can’t wait! Currently have my spare tire in the bed which I hate. I’ll email Michael for an ETA. Thanks!

This thread is blatant pornography. I like it.

Stoked to see the renderings.

Fuck that’s sexy

Got my HC on order from them! No tire mount im keeping it under in stock. Now to be brave enough to cut the bedsides

I try not to think about it but every time I open my email a part of me hopes to see the shipping notification email

Still need to email Michael for details? Whats the price as pictured piwder coated for this one? These are badass

A bit off topic, but if someone came out with a front slimline bumper, or hell, a full bumper, that stuck out LESS than the stupid fat lip currently on the Taco, I'd probably go into debt to acquire it.

Similarly, if I could get this rear bumper sexiness but still be able to use my rear sonar (has saved me from a lot of accidents, I'm bad at cross traffic), I'd probably jump on it as well.

Hey guys here is a list of all the options that come standard on the bumper. Just anted to collectively store it here as I have gotten a lot of emails asking about the options on the bumper. Price is set to be approximately $2200.00 for the powder coated version and less for the non powder coat version (Price is not SET but this is a close approximation)
-Dual swing arms (we will not do a single swing arm version)
-Fold down table (passenger side, inside the gate)
-Dual antenna mounts
-Hi-lift mount
-Reverse light cutouts (they come with filler plates if you don't run lights)
-Spare tire carrier
-Back up camera relocation (for the stock camera)
-Flip up license plate mount
-Hidden receiver hitch (you will need to remove the stock hitch to install the bumper)
-(2) mounting plates that allow you to mount a combination of any 2 mounts we offer (propane, CO2, NATO can, Rotopax (sold separately))
-Proximity (back-up) sensor cutouts (fillers provided for those without)
-Completely sealed bearing units (no maintenance required)
-Lockout pins (to keep the bumper from opening too far) with internal locking mechanisms so even if they break the only open so far

We don't have an exact weight yet, but estimate it to be around the current second generation Tacoma swing out bumper at about 180-190# for the hi-clearance version and 135-145# for the standard version. Once in production they will have at least a 12-14 week lead time (initially) until we can get production down! I do have about 7 pre-orders currently but we have not done a forum one yet so if there is enough interest in a pre-order we can start one on here.

This would include:
-Receiving the bumper before anyone else (typically a few months before)
-Reduced price depending on the number of pre-orders (to be determined)
-A Special item included (working with Tyler from 3G on this
-Reduced cost on the carriers that attach to the bumper
-Only requires a deposit of 1000.00

Let me know if you guys need any more details!

Not sure what thread to ask these questions in now there is three lol. I realized I tow both a popup camper and a Boat. Not sure if i will be able to open the swingout with them attached do you know the dimensions of the arms when they are open. As in distance from endge of bumper to farthest point wheb open?

They shouldn't stick out too far when open. As we get to prototyping ourselves or @mh.meier will post measurements of the swing arms open. A single gate bumper could possible have contact, but the dual gate has a tighter radius. Keep an eye out for details
