• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Welcome to the Tacoma3G.com soft launch!

As you all know, we have been living full time in the truck camper. This comes with change in routine to normal daily activities like cooking and laundry, but I seem to have found some items that have really made life easy and comfortable in such a small space. I wanted to share them with you...

    Overlanding/Camping blankets

That’s a good point. It looks like it might be kinda fragile against the dogs. And it’s definitely “swooshy” so I can see it sliding all over. Thanks for the input!

    Overlanding/Camping blankets

Does anyone have experience with the brand Rumpl? They make blankets and ponchos and such that can be packed down pretty small. They look cool and useful for life on the road but I haven’t seen much about them besides their website and Instagram. They’re also not cheap! What do you guys think?

    Tacoma World

@Tyler said it perfectly. When I found out he was being stationed in Okinawa, I didn’t know how to handle it. But after six months, I visited and got to see beautiful places I only thought I’d see via the internet. He got to visit so many new countries as well! As hard as it is to be apart, it...

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

That’s what I used for mine but I’ve noticed in hot weather some of them decide to fall off the Velcro. Could be the Velcro adhesive is crappy. I’ll try my luck with better Velcro for my next few patches.

Dogs. We all love them, let's see them!

Here’s some funny ones from our trip from California to Long Island.

This looks so good! We did a headliner on the Jeep a while back that was very similar to this. How do you guys apply non-Velcro patches?

    DIY on a budget

If you slap "off-road" or "overland" on anything, the price skyrockets. @Tyler and I watched a video recently about a first aid kit "made for overlanders" and when I went to the site to check the price, that shit was literally $400. I was thinking about figuring out "on a budget" alternatives...

“Today I fucked up” - show us your trail carnage

Time to show off your battle scars and fuck ups. When’s the last time you went Full @Tyler? New door damage, rear fender damage, various scratches, and he ended the day by doing a full send into rancid smelling mud and getting stuck. Don’t worry, a bunch of Jeeps pulled him out.

I’m curious to know what everyone who has gotten a shirt thinks of the print quality. @Tyler and I kind of feel like it’s shitty looking and we wanna stop selling them until we figure out a better option. What do you guys think? Also any suggestions on printing companies are welcome!

What's up Taco dudes? I'm probably the only member here without one. Why? Because I have a Jeep JKU. Why? Because it has a solid axle and your cute little Tacos don't. Just kidding, Tyler told me to say that. I'm his wife and he wants me to use the forum. What am I supposed to do, trade the...
