• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

I remember reading somewhere. Not to start an argument, negligibley stronger, esp when it came to deflection

To each there own. I wanna by a chromoly hardtail mountain bike and give my back a workout
You could be right, but yea to each their own. Not too large of a price difference considering all the money that goes into my truck in the first place.:cry::cry:

There is a solution to this problem. It's called the getting bypasses and setting your wallet on fire mod..... its amazingly amazing and I highly recommend it
how are your bypasses mounted btw? do you have LCA’s

Unfortunately no, just the icon LCA skids. I've heard that Camburg has some LCA's in the works that dont cause you to lose steering radius. So I'm holding out hope

So are you saying with my King 2.5 coil overs I should be able to remove my sway bar and not be all floaty? Or is the bypass system your talking about in addition too? Asking for a friend.

Itll probably be a little floaty with kings especially since they come with a 600# spring. I wouldn't pull the sway bar with anything less than 700's but that's just me. The bypasses make removing the sway bar almost completely unnoticeable on road. Truck has next to no body roll and still feels very tight however offroad I get the full benefits of not a running that sway bar

Good to know and thank you. Glad I asked and appreciate you sharing your experience. Can you please shoot me a link of an example bypass you are talking about? Are they in addition to the coil over shocks?

Yeah, it would be in addition to your coil over. Pricey setup but ig so worth it. Heres a pic of mine. Not king as they dont have a direct bolt on solution like icon

So you're sayin I should have gone with ICON vice King? ha ha. I guess in the long run, it will just save me money.

Not today, but over the weekend finally got around to upgrading the suspension with the help of some awesome friends. Bling Blue it is!

I like how your mounting bracket for the remote res is black. Think I'll paint mine as well. Thanks.

@CWebbyExploreX4 thanks boss, I’ve been stacking parts for a few months, I took them out a while ago and hit them with some coating since I wasn’t on a time crunch.

i'm mad. mobtown is really starting to piss me off with their serious delay in shipping of my fucking rock sliders.

Im in the same boat at the moment....when did you order yours?

i ordered mid April

By the way, that is a sweet rig you've got. Hind sight is always 20/20. Seeing how you can expand the capabilities of the ICON I wish I would have gone with them vice the Kings now.

Thanks buddy. In this realm of suspension, that's the one area that icon truly beats out the rest. Their complete kits and the ability to upgrade as you go.

Deaver u402s installed
Looks great. How do you like the Deavers so far? I don't have a RTT, but have a bed rack and will be hauling a small 1200 lb trailer (200 lb tongue weight). So when loaded about 400-500 lbs. I'm thinking I want added lift above what the ICON AAL kit gave me, but don't want the rear to be too stiff and bouncy.
