This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.
Reported for blasphemy.I never saw myself buying a Toyota.
My dad had an 87 single cab. It had a shell with egg crate foam pad in the bed. Mom and Dad were up front and the dog and I wound ride in the back on our way up to the White Mountains. I loved every minute of it but apparently your not supposed to do that these days?87 xtra cab. 36" Grand Prix's on 6" lift! Oh Yeah the 80's!!!!!!!!
I forgot how badass cab visors were! This was my '88 SR5. I bought it used for $8,500. The body style changed in '89 and I hated the look of the 89's. I wish I took more pictures of this truck. It evolved a lot over the years. It had a 5 speed manual and no AC. I traded this in on a '95.5 Tacoma. It developed a severe case of the bed cancer that this generation was popular for.
