• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Added a custom MOLLE rack to my bed.

More add ons to come

I guess having 24/7 back pain is good sometimes. We grabbed our 2020 Long Island beach permit yesterday. I think they cost around $200 but it was free for veterans with a service connected disability.

Veterans shouldnt be charged ANYTHING for park permits or anything like that. Christ, thats the LEAST the country could do for all of you guys. My dad is a vet and has to pay for his fishing permits. Just doesnt really sit right with me.

Love the color choice of the skid. What exactly is it? White, grey?

Also, just so everyone is aware. In regards to the factory hooks on the front of the truck, they are tie down points and not tow points. They are okay rated for tuning down the truck during transport. They are not rated for towing, pulling, dragging, or anything dynamic of that nature. The potential exits for the to fail of you decide to pull from them. So please, get a proper recovery point in the front if you intend to use it for recovery.

What about the off-road hook? It's different than other models...

Do you use the L tracks often? I have been thinking about putting some on my truck.

This is the first use of them I've had. Most everything is either inside or bolted to the truck some other way. The rack is our first use of the L-track.

Used the bed today for something other then hauling groceries. 😂 Too bad I picked up a nail in the backyard and got a flat. 😡

Got lost in the woods when I found a stupid gate in the middle of nowhere. I need to start bringing a plasma torch for these things. 7 miles out a road with no turns on a mountain ridge. Ya couldn't have told me it was a dead end when I turned on to it??!?!

I've had that same thing happen. Such a huge pain in the ass.

Installed Diode Dynamics Amber Fogs and weathertech deflector. Surprised at how easy it was to swap the fogs out. Aiming was easy, installed one and lined it up with the remaining OEM then threw in the other. If anyone's interested I've got a set of mint OEMs available.

So about two weeks ago I bought my wife and I some campsite exploration vehicles (bikes). I quickly realized I wanted more out of mine, so I returned the one I had bought and upgraded. Just a small upgrade.
