• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Tyler's #VanLife on 37s Four Wheel Camper Build & Tacoma3G.com Shenanigans

Splurge purchased a RTT and CB radio for the second T3G meet we were having. That water bottle is absolutely holding the CB radio up. ;)

I’m definitely gonna when it’s for sale again.
Ya he just cant keep up and I definitly wasnt happy with the level of customer support or service. But now that its on my truck it was worth it

Added @rrentrop TRD decals on my skid plate and removed the ugly ass stock front license plate bracket. I bought a slimmer bracket from someone on TW but I ended up hating that too. Drilling it straight into the bumper is the best way.

Nice job! Hopefully it wasn't too much of a hassle to remove the skid plate, but I'm sure it made the installation much easier!

I would be very mad to be in an accident but I gotta say you are very lucky to have the bumper caps color matched. I painted mine and I swear they looked great when I first did them but now they just look dirty and done clean up very nice ah. Great looking rig looking forward to seeing more.

How do you like your tent? I've been going back and forth on them. Been wishy washy on it due to the added weight of being on my roof! Don't want to get to top heavy In previous trips (gen 1 Tacoma) we have been in some spots where I swear we were completely sideways haha

This part made me laugh. I completely agree.

I love the tent. Couldn’t imagine camping without it now. I was curious about being top heavy, but to my surprise it hardly feels any different while on the trail. Maybe cause I have harder leaf springs.

Chris at Apex Fabworks is a good dude and makes a quality product. You're lucky getting one of the first sets @Tyler... a little late though haha

They look great I really like the angle.

I know, working with Chris has been great. But yeah it’s definitely a tad late for my poor rocker panel.

These tuck up so high, maybe they'll cover the damage a bit? ;)

You trust the OEM roof racks with an RTT? Braver man than me.

Clazzio leather seat covers finally came in after six months!

Looks awesome! I had a set for my Scion xB and I love Clazzios. They are definitely the best and that is why I want a set for my Tacoma.
Is the outer gray color the dark gray or light gray? I wanted to do a custom stitch in the headrest as well with black stitching. I was originally worried it might not show up, but if your gray is the dark, then I dont think it would look bad at all.
