• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Hot damn!

So I had a phase where I bought every set of SCS wheel I could get my hands on so here is what I’ve owned so far:

1) Ray 10 17.8.5 in Matte gunmetal
2) Ray 10 16x8 in Matte dark bronze
3) Ray 10 17x8.5 in matte dark bronze
4) Ray 10 F5 17x9 in matte dark bronze
5) Ray 10 Ray 10 17x9 matte dark bronze with machined lip (ordered and cancelled)

Here are the 17x8.5 Ray 10’s:

And here is my current setup on the 17x9” F5:

Hello! I have a 2016 trd sport double cab and I just got Ray 10 ‘s 17.8.5 in Matte gunmetal. I’m not looking to lift. What should I do for tires? What size and make? I live in New England, want something that’s great in the rain as I’ll have a winter set anyways. Thanks !!!

Run a 265 for the 17" rim in a very mild all terrain for the best rain performance.

Very impressed with these Ray 10’s. I have the SR8’s on order for my wife’s 4runner

What size wheels you have here? Tire? Stock suspension? I’m looking to get these rims and tires on a stock suspension.
Those are 17x8.5 wheels with 285/70/17 tires. Icon stage 6 suspension. I would not recommend running that setup on stock suspension. I was rubbing even with the Icon suspension. I've since switched to Icon wheels and I'm no longer rubbing.

I had the 17x8.5" two-tone black Ray10s on my '16. They were good, strong wheels with a durable finish, although I was constantly gashing up the outer lip and water and mud would constantly cake on the inside of that lip and look like crap. I have come to strongly prefer wheels with removable rock rings, however it seems as though they are becoming pretty uncommon. Regardless, I liked my Ray10s.

Got some falken wildpeaks mounted to my new ray10s! 265/70/17 on stock suspension. Unfortunately it rubs slightly on the fender liners so I gotta do some trimming I guess.
