I've seen a lot of pictures of peoples rigs on social media and have seen people using plano or pelican gun cases (or similar) on top of roof racks.

Several questions...
1) What are you storing in yours?
2) What brand cases are you choosing?
3) How are you mounting these to your roof racks? I have a Victory4x4 roof rack and trying to figure out what to do before I start purchasing stuff.

Thanks in advance!

I have a Case Cruiser Rifle case mounted to Yakima bars on my 4Runner. In it are
  • Shovel
  • Tools
  • air hose
  • snatch strap
  • receiver shackle
  • saw
  • machette
  • saddle blanket
It's mounted with u bolts.

I don’t have mine yet but I will be doing a Prinsu rack with a Pelican V800 mounted using stainless steel carriage bolts and rubber washers. Choosing Pelican because I get a pro deal. Choosing the V800 for its size/weight ratio.

Got the idea from “joesrcool” on TW. These are photos of his:

Ah now it makes sense... you have to bolt through the cases. Lol my bad. I get deals on pelican from expert city so I may need to look into that. Thank you!
