This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.
I like the design so far! It doesn't look like you're leaving yourself any vertical adjustment for various sized wheel/tire combinations?
ETA: Looks like it's slotted, I didn't see that the first time.
Pretty sure that design will eventually destroy the bed since theirs nothing holding the tire from bouncing up and down.I came across this in case it adds any value!
Thanks. And it doesn’t that bad. The spot it blocks on the rear view you can see out the side mirror. That looks great! Very cool. I'd like to do something similar but closer to the cab. Do you find the tire blocks your rearview much?
Yeah I thought that too. No one seems very interested in it so it’s probably for the best since it was a pain in the ass to hand cut everything. That is pretty cool. Kinda has an old school look. I bet you could sell these too.
I figured it was probably a pain. Well if you do change your mind feel free to make a thread in the marketplace section! I love seeing people selling their DIY stuff here.Yeah I thought that too. For sure, if I ever learn the program draftsite I have a plasma table at my work and would be able to make these easy with all the parts getting cut out in seconds.I figured it was probably a pain.
