• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

    All-Terrain Family Tacoma Build Thread!!!!!!!

From the suspension video, it doesn't look like you did any trimming or a CMC. I'm leaning toward the 4.88 gearing and 255/85/R16 as the next big upgrade.

What I removed, if you don't want to watch the video: - Lower ball joint bolts (not the nut for the ball joint itself). - Brake caliper - Brake line bracket on the spindle. - Sway bar link on the spindle. - ABS line points on the spindle and the upper control arm. Also the local dealer...

    Leaking Fox 2.5 Tundra Shock

So far so good with the shock. While I'm disappointed in the situation (the leaking shock), Accutune got the shock and turned it around within a few days. I'm sure it being brand new it was sent to the head of the line.

Nitto Ridge Grappler or BFG TA K02 For A Tacoma?

I've read about KO2's performance or lack thereof in rain on pavement. Each has their ups and downs but between those 2, I'd go with the Ridge Grappler. Myself I've been eyeing the STT Pro from Cooper.

Rotational noise, front end, after lift.

Hopefully a good enough title for someone to find this post in the future if they are having the same issue and I get it successfully resolved. Initially after lifting my truck, all was well. Lately I've noticed a slight vibration in the floorboard and what sounds like a slight groan/grind...

    Leaking Fox 2.5 Tundra Shock

Shock arrived from Accutune today. I'll get the shocks installed sometime today and hopefully it won't leak but that missing o-ring does seem to scratch my head. From the PDF that I was sent regarding the work done: * Missing top cap o-ring. * Replaced shock body, top cap and top cap o-ring for...

    Leaking Fox 2.5 Tundra Shock

I believe it was set to the adventure tune. Just because most of my driving to get places is on pavement. Accutune does take them apart to change the valving so it will be interesting to see what happens. Of course I'm second guessing my purchase and wondering if ADS or something similar would...

    Leaking Fox 2.5 Tundra Shock

I had to pay for shipping out to CA. I was told it would be put ahead of other work. Shipping back to me at their cost. With the holiday weekend coming up, I'm going to estimate 3 weeks before I have it back.

    Leaking Fox 2.5 Tundra Shock

The leaking shock is being shipped to CA via FedEx. I had to put on the old Bilstein stock shocks so I can at least drive the truck. Further observations to my leaking issue: Off the truck (zero compression), shock does not leak. On the truck, no movement, shock slightly leaks (between class 1...

    Leaking Fox 2.5 Tundra Shock

I got my Fox 4A mid travel lift installed from Accutune. Just over a week later I'm sitting with a leaking Tundra shock (FOX-883-26-006) that they sell with the 4A kit. Cleaning and checking fittings but it's leaking from here: I've floated an email to Accutune but I'm nearly certain the...

It's better. I have the adjusters dialed to (-) as far as they will go. Just to get an idea of them. "Realistic" maximum lift with coilovers - 3"?

I installed Accutune's Fox 4A mid travel this past weekend. I got about 2.5 inches of lift from where I was at. I didn't take pre and post numbers from all 4 corners but I know it was about 3/4 of an inch lower than stock overall with the bed cover, rock sliders, full skids, and winch/bumper...

I'm in search of a new creeper. My shade tree mechanic one from harbor freight broke another wheel. What are you guys and gals rolling around under the truck with? Nice to haves: - One that doesn't get hung up on a piece of 22awg insulation. - Something with an adjustable head rest. -...

It's hard to say based on the unknowns of what kind of lift was put on it. Most of the 6" lifts I know of cut a front cross member. Thus if you take the lift off, you will need to repair or replace that cut cross member.
