• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Decisions decisions Genesis Dual battery versus OffGrid4x4 dual battery

I think if you mount the solar panel on to the trailer then you are good to go. I would consider the more portable solar panel from Goal zero if you did that. My only problem is that when I’m wheeling I’m not parked with the solar panel out on the floor. I usually don’t stop until later in the...

    Double battery thread.

Great idea with using the Pelfrey Built battery holder with OGE secondary holder together.

Anyone running a dual battery setup side by side? Just wondering if the front end would support all that extra weight.

Decisions decisions Genesis Dual battery versus OffGrid4x4 dual battery

I was trying to stay away from a dual battery setup. I thought by having a Goal Zero Yeti with a couple of panels would give me versatility and options, but that also means I need to have the ideal environment (sun).

Decisions decisions Genesis Dual battery versus OffGrid4x4 dual battery

I’m planning on using it for my winch and fridge. I tested my ARB 63qt fridge on trail with just my Goal Zero yeti 1400 lithium, but I only got 3 days out of it. I tried to use my solar panels to top of the yeti but I was camping under the shade of trees, so my solar capabilities got limited...

If you are running a dual battery setup which one did you go with? And why? Looking into purchasing a setup.

Thinking of an Icon Secondary setup.

I’m currently running a stage 9 Icon suspension and I wanted to add a secondary setup to my rig. Should go with the stage 2 with 2.5 resin CDCV or the stage 3 Omega bypass setup? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Camping in Joshua Tree

When I camped in Joshua Tree I was located near the South Entrance. Right before the sign is a huge area of BLM that you can camp on for free. If I were to go back I would say trying camping closer to the North entrance as there is a lot more rock formations and things to see. The town near the...

Running 35's: Is it painful, and if it is, was it worth it?

I want to run 35’s but after reading a lot of these comments and cost to run 35’s I think I’m ok with 33’s.

    Demello Offroad

The DO cutout might be a turn off but the cutout is extremely functional. After attending Overland Expo, I learned that you want to be able to see and access the winch when using it. The cutout gives you that capability. Don’t get me wrong at first I was hoping to put a light bar in that spot...

    Demello Offroad

If you can score a front bumper and a set of sliders, I would jump on that deal ALL DAY LONG. Demello Offroad is a great company. Jason helped me pick out the best suspension for my needs. I ordered an aluminum baja front bumper and I hope to get it sometime in July.
