• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Archived Who needs armor for their Tacoma? 4 Wheel Parts might have you covered... for free!

Long story short, I've been into the offroad since 9 y.o. with my 1987 Yamaha champ 100cc atv. The growing interest about Toyota pick up was to carry my atv's to the dunes and some new trails. The dad of my best friend had a Black 1982 pick up that we have use to carry our atv and motocross...

Hesitation problem anyone in the same boat?

OV Tune 2.0 is good but with KD Maxx, it's a Tacoma like it should be. It's now alive. The pedal is more sensitive for about 1/4 the travel, normal driving feels alot better. City driving it stays in gear alot more, it's now always there. I assume they adjust the injection timing/throttle to...

Hesitation problem anyone in the same boat?

OV 2.0 ECT on does help but I'm really considering regear. I'll try KDmax tune first. I've got another related shifting problem, and I wish the KD tune correct this. If I'm cruising down the road at 60 and floor it to pass, the drive by wire wait a full 2 seconds to "discuss" with the trans and...

Hesitation problem anyone in the same boat?

It's feels like a different cam lobe before and after 4500 rpm. What tune are you using?

    What's in the Eibach box?😆

Here's the follow up! This eibach 2.0 suspension is great with the icon aal and Timbren active off road bumpstops. Loaded for vacation (pics below) the truck kept his good manners with 1500 pounds of payload including the girlfriend, the dog and my 150 pounds rock sliders. It hit the bumpstops...

    What's in the Eibach box?😆

Here's an update about the Eibach coilovers 2.0/sport shock with Icon aal. It is awesome! Now the truck feel planted, there's alot less body rool and the ride is more rafined. The saggy boat lean is gone. It is a firmer ride because of the valving but not stiff at all. The suspension transmit...

Hesitation problem anyone in the same boat?

So here's the way I got multiples hesitations with and without fuel pump recall and OVtune or not! When I pass someone at 45-50 mph if I need 3/4 or full throttle (tried both) I have a delay of response near 2 seconds! When it finally goes downshift in 2nd at goes in high rpm range than it...

    What's in the Eibach box?😆

This is the pro truck coilover 2.0 kit so you can adjust the preload (heigh) on the truck. I live in Quebec, Canada I order all my truck parts from lowriders.ca. they dont mess around with price and service!
  12. Taconorth

    What's in the Eibach box?😆

I can't wait to try these Eibach coilovers 2.0 and the sport rear shocks with the Icon AAL and sumo bump stops! I'm so tired of nose dive, the lean when cornering...and riding the rear bump stops on any whoops more than 4 inch deep 😆 and only 500 pounds in the truck including me! The Taco has...

    Performance Suspension Bump stop

I saw the Wheelers youtube video and they do a great job! Problem is, it's a pita to get these in Canada! We have thousands of miles of fire road but only Timbren or Sumo springs available. Just yesterday I've hit the stock bump stop at least 10 times. My girlfriend is tired of that🤷‍♂️ I can't...

Any of you guys using the active off road bump stops from Timbren? Not the SES ones...I dont tow heavy weight. I'm running around 1000 pounds of payload on my trip in the wood and l like to have a blast on fire road! It's my next clic on my Taco mods!

Finally got my rock sliders on!

Long story short, I've read alot about rock sliders! The top 3 was CBI, RSG, ALL-PRO. Yes even if the reviews were 50/50 on ALL-PRO customer service... They had a sale going on and the external tube is DOM and got filler plate too. So the on july 7 I've purchase them because of the fact that...

The thing is, if you never had it, this is no big deal. I was in the same boat 3 years ago. It's kind of the same as power arm💪 windows vs electric ones. It just work better on a day to day standpoint.

What's your set up? I'm looking to get something to help the rear suspension stop bottoming...! The guy at the dealer told me: " you have an extra heavy duty leaf spring on the O.R." 🤣 It's a basic bilstein kit, work good but I want more feel at high speed and still be able to flex good in...
