    Yes haha. If they do it in house it sucks to set everything up to do one bumper. Their tubing stuff is probably all set up for sliders and hoops. Time is money, and the industry is in decline, so no time is wasted that doesnt have to be haha

    Aluminum Skids?

    We have tested bot the steel and aluminum and the steel is marginally better taking large hits but will over time take continuous hits much better and as @0uTkAsT said the steel is repairable where as aluminum tends to crumple.

    Sliders

    definitely sliders first, most people dont ever get skids (even though we always tell them to). Typically you are more likely to damage a door or side of the vehicle, something as small mas kicking up a log. Hits the door in the right spot, door doesnt open and you are out 3500 to replace the door.

    One of the reasons we did not go all the way back is after tons and tons of testing we found it almost impossible to hit the small arear between the slider and tire.     They shouldn't stick out too far when open. As we get to prototyping ourselves or @mh.meier will post measurements of the swing arms open. A single gate bumper could possible have contact, but the dual gate has a tighter radius. Keep an eye out for details -Pelfreybilt www.pelfreybilt.com

    The bumper includes cutouts for the backup sensors. In our current offerings we haven't experienced issues with the sensors. Sometimes people can pinch a wire or accidentally damage a sensor, but it's not common. -Pelfreybilt www.pelfreybilt.com
