• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

JerryTaco2.0's 2017 TRD OR4x4 Truck Glamping Build & BS Thread

That is a sweet setup. Me likey.
It is very sweet. Same Icon suspension I have, including front bypasses. Dude did everything. It has 4.88's as well. I know it was at the stereo shop for 3 months because they completely gutted it and dynamatted every inch of the interior.

Oh hey you degenerate fucks...... If any of you are in the market for a 4Runner, Autonation in Tempe has an amazingly well built 2017 White TRD Pro with 24k miles for 49k. Basically the T4R version of my truck but has CBI Front and rear bumpers and an ARB Air locker in the front. I know the owner/builder and he spared no expense. In fact, he used to have a 20k$ sound system which has been removed, but he did leave the sub box and all wiring in place.

Someone go buy this thing cuz it's bad ass.

i saw that yesterday, do not hate it. kinda has a colorado zr2 vibe but is clean

Is that the SSO slimline with some cool side business for approach angles? Have not scene that! I wonder if I can upgrade mine?
It is, and it is their new high clearance kit. Will be available late march and yes, you can add it to yours, you will just have to drill a few holes.

They have had this kit for the 4runner for a little while.

Thanks! I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for it next month. I just went to their website to order but did not see it.

Nice! I am glad to see you going this route. I am going this route as well over the CBI T3 I had originally planned to get. This is such a clean look. Your truck is already really well built and this will look incredible on it. Can't wait to see it installed on your rig!

Are you going to keep it as a three piece kit or are you going to have them welded together and install as one piece? In talking to them on TW they mentioned in the future offering this as a one piece bumper but no timeline on that. I don't see myself ever pushing this bumper to it's limit to where I would worry about the integrity of the bolt-on application of the "wings", but I think it would look a lot cleaner.

Thanks man, appreciate the compliment. I can't see me pushing this bumper hard enough to need it all welded together, so I will be sticking with the bolts. Pretty pumped on this though. Retains somewhat of the factory look while increasing functionality of the truck and since I am planning on stepping up tire sizes when it's time for new tires, this will give me some needed clearance
