• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Damn dude, I love looking at your truck! You just need to de-badge it now! :censored: Oh, and get the BHLM done and ME-SO turn signals! :) I'm anti-chrome on Tacomas. lol

I have to admit that I like the OR badge . It makes me feel good about myself. I’m not a big fan of chrome either, but what chrome I have left is subtle. I’ll get to it eventually.

I did do an epic adventure this weekend in San Rafael Swell. Ran the truck super hard. Only suffered some cosmetic damage thank god.

So I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the TJM rear bumper with their auxiliary light kit. :ROFLMAO:

I will probably order their front bumper in a few months.

Damn this truck is gonna be sick o_O
You're only half lame... :D

We know some fagbag that works at ADD, don't we?
A few of them did. Josh, Andrew, and at least one other. None lasted too long except Josh. Not sure if Andrew is even still there or not.

Oh lol, yeah I actually like the OR sticker too, I was just thinking the Tacoma badges should come off the doors! :D

Sweet dude, you get any pictures? That sounds awesome! Cosmetic damage is expected if you actually use your truck the way it's supposed to be used! I've got the pinstripes and I jacked up one of my rims a couple weeks ago. Shit happens! (y)

Yea, pics do exist. Need to do a photo drop from the other guys I went with. There are some good ones. Once I get them I’ll post up.

Yes, cosmetic damag is expected. And my new wheels are hammered.

Now back to original programming.

That's what we build them for (y)

Suspension order is confirmed with Headstrong! Won't be long now!

Brown Santa is dropping off my shocks, coilovers, UCAs, leaf spring liners, and hardware tomorrow!

The leaf packs and bumper are still probably a week out, sliders and CMC/pinch weld probably another month or so, brake lines should be ready to go next week... I hope it's less humid by the time everything gets here and is ready to go on!

You're gonna make me have to pull the trigger on a CBI rear bumper....... DICK!

Hahahaha you've been putting it off too long anyways.

Better beat me to the front though ;)

Front wont happen until I get my DD. DD isn't going to happen until I build out the garage storage and work stations at the new house. I got some fucking real first world problems dude, leave me alone!

But a front bumper is a lot cheaper than a DD... :D
this is true.. But I don't wanna do a front bumper until I am not driving the truck every day. Plus, built Tacoma and matching white Jeep grand cherokee SRT will look pretty great together #garagegoals

Except it's a Jeep... i.e. a Chrysler product... (n)

Which brake lines did you go with? I'm going to have to get some when I do my leaf pack.

SDHQ doesn't stock the +4" ones that were recommended by ADS and Headstrong, so they had to have them custom made. I would've just bought the off-the-shelf kits from Headstrong, but SDHQ won't install parts that you don't buy from them, and @JerryTaco2.0 and I tried (and failed) to install the brake lines ourselves on my last truck and... it didn't go so well. This is one of those things that it's just worth it to pay someone else to do, IMO.

TL;DR - 4" extended SS lines made by whoever SDHQ uses

Thanks, and a good question for when I do the install is if I can provide my own. I like the ones that Wheeler's has.

No problem! There are definitely lots of good options for off the shelf lines if your installer we'll use them, or if you're doing them yourself. I kind of didn't have any choice but go the custom route with SDHQ.

And I got super excited with a delivery notification on my way home this afternoon thinking something got here early... But it was just my shackles :ROFLMAO:

Forget the shackles, look at those nice floors. Super jealous!

Wood look tile FTW

lol

Total sidetrack but did you install it yourself?

I’ve been liking the look of the tile with the wood pattern, but not sure I trust myself to do it. I’ve done wood floors before, but those are super simple.

No we bought the house with this flooring in it. I love it and it's durable as all hell but I can't help with the installation bit.

When you installing everything? If you need help let me know
