Hmm... I forgot about that. There's still shipping though. Shipping two bumpers is easily going to cost $250+.if you're going to wait that long...... Black Friday is about 5 months away![]()
Honestly I like Pelfreybilt as a company but I don't like their 3rd Gen products much at all. Not much is wrong with them from a functional standpoint, but aesthetically they are definitely not for me.Pelfreybilt
I'm torn. I like RCI, CBI, and TJM, but also like the Demello Baja front bumper and the Mobtown rear bumper. So basically, I'm not sure.
I may wait until Overland Expo next year and see what happens. In years past, most of those guys have offered 15-20% off and had inventory on hand so I wouldn't have to pay shipping, and I might even get one of them to help me cut the front bumper on-site so I don't fuck it up.

Dude I'll bring the velcro and e-bike!Reported.
14 traction boards, dual Trasharoos, and color keyed Pelican hard cases or GTFO!Dude I'll bring the velcro and e-bike!
Haha! Real talk. But I'm going to hold on to what money I have left, build on that, and see what kind of deals come up. Still need a new RTT, my mid skid from RCI, I'd like the OVTune at some point, possibly a regear after these 34s go on... so I'm going to try not to let the money burn a hole in my pocket.14 traction boards, dual Trasharoos, and color keyed Pelican hard cases or GTFO!
If you have the money, buy your bumpers. Worst case scenario, you'll be overlanding at work every single day...
So tires and CMC plates are sitting in my garage, my suspension should be shipping next week, @SDHQ OFFROAD is working on getting my brake lines made, and Avid is building my sliders. July is going to be a great month for this truck.
I have to start figuring out how I'm going to extend the ABS and locker wiring, and I may have to re-do the diff breather mod... again... for the 3rd time... @JerryTaco2.0 can you think of anything I'm possibly forgetting in order to prep for the suspension install?
I have a trip coming up next month so I really need to figure out what I'm doing about my RTT situation also...
Much faster than expected! It's amazing what can happen when you have money... hahaIt looks like it’s coming together faster than expected.Truck is going to be a solid build. Nice job!

I looked in to that and it's like $250+ taxes and fees with a 2-night minimum, plus it's a wheeling trip so I'd probably break something and have to pay for it so basically I'd rather lay on a rock hahaRent a trailer from off the grid

What's everyone's opinion of the TJM bumpers? I have a pretty attractive quote for a set (front & rear) and I'm thinking about pulling the trigger...

There is a winch plate in the front bumper. No tire carrier option for the rear but I don't want or need one either. The only thing these don't have that I wanted is a hidden hitch, so if you need a receiver, you have to use the OEM one with this rear bumper... but we don't have a trailer right now, and might never get one, so that's not the end of the world.Do it!
Does the front have a hidden winch mount? The rear needs a tire carrier!!!
I like the way the bumper has the angled cut where it meets the fender flare. They look pretty clean! Buy them and post more pictures so I can check them out!
I really like the CBI, RCI, and Demello bumpers... But I also like these a lot, they are definitely cleaner looking and they are really affordable.
I'm quickly running out of truck money again and I still need a new tent and I want the OVTune pretty bad... but these are towards the top of my list too.
Those bumpers are really nice looking and low profile! The side marker light looks like it's a useful spot as well.I looked in to that and it's like $250+ taxes and fees with a 2-night minimum, plus it's a wheeling trip so I'd probably break something and have to pay for it so basically I'd rather lay on a rock haha

I have and generally speaking I like it a lot. I don't need another 30" lightbar however so it would be nice to not have a cutout for it. For me, I just love CBI's front bumper even though ADD is local and I even know a guy that works over there. Probably one of the nicer 3rd gen bumpers, thats for sure!Have you looked at the Addictive Desert Designs front bumper? It’s low profile and fits the lines of the 3rd Gen. just a thought. It’s not cheap, but it is well built.

You know who else has TJM Bumpers........ here's a hint, he has a logo and loves begging for free shit..Yep I have looked at pretty much every bumper out there and decided on the TJMs for a number of reasons. They are not the best but they check all the boxes for me. I was reallllllly close to pulling the trigger on RCI but I got pricing I couldn't refuse on the TJMs.
Ooohhhh fuckkkkk are you talking about the milky teabag guy? Maybe I can get mine for free hahaYou know who else has TJM Bumpers........ here's a hint, he has a logo and loves begging for free shit..
I can neither conform no deny.... But I heard that they are a favorite amongst the milky tea bagging crowdOoohhhh fuckkkkk are you talking about the milky teabag guy?

Yeah, I looked it up and edited my post haha... that's ok - his are painted, and it looks better on silver anyways.I can neither conform no deny.... But I heard that they are a favorite amongst the milky tea bagging crowd
it does look good in this pic. I think the added Taliban Tan paint that he did makes it look like a sweaty nut sack.Yeah, I looked it up and edited my post haha... that's ok - his are painted, and it looks better on silver anyways.
I do like the clean lines, that it doesn't have light bar cutouts, that it has a removable winch plate, it's light weight, and it looks like the BD Squadron-Rs will fit in the fog pockets, that powder coating comes standard, and the rock lights under the front look functional. And now that I ordered the rear already, it'll match.
Not gonna lie, I'm still pretty sketched about cutting the stock bumper
