Running board led lights

I just purchased a 2021 TRD sport. I’m trying to install running board lights. I was trying to tie into the pink wire going to the drivers side door light switch. The lights will not come on when I tie into that switch. I also tried the other pink wire also. Still nothing Where else can I tie into? Thanks

My rock lights are tied into the bed lights and work off of that switch.

Wire it the same way as the factory bed lights.
