Recovering Jeep addict

SOS sliders installed!
Instructions were good (attached below), install was easy except for those nearly impossible front inside-the-frame bolts.
First impression:
-outstanding product for the price.
Pros:
-beautiful welds
-tolerances are wide enough to allow easy installation but remain very secure and well fitted
-combination of solid square and tubular steel with just the right amount of angle and kickout.
-Looks factory: my wife's first comment: "they look like they came stock on the truck." They just fit. Outstanding design.
Cons:
-would be nice to have the front and rear portion of the square steel bar be angled, I can see where this could hang up on a branch or rock.
-not much else. Really great product, very happy.

Decked system review:
pros: lots of extra space, easy install, really solid weight capacity (that's patio rocks, firewood, and hay in the photo, have carried heavier loads with no issue), smooth rollers for the drawers, uses well the extra space behind each wheel-well.
Cons: doesn't go all the way back to the tailgate. Can't use the ac plug in the back without leaving it open for an extension cord or re-installing.
Very happy with the product. Has made camping and doing stuff with my family much easier. Also good for groceries.

I saw a fellow taco owner on this forum custom make the electrical outlet on the top of the decked board, he did a nice job, I don't remember the post , sorry. but don't they also tell you on the decked paged little trick for the outlet, and the cord placement so you can still utilize it
Yeah, saw that. Additional work that I didn't want to use. Also, the extension plug leaves the cover open, didn't sit right with me.
At some point I'll probably do the relocation bit, but I'm not terribly good with wiring, so that one is kicked down the road a bit.

I tried doing a whole hood last Friday afternoon with a buddy of mine and it was a dismal failure. complete loss. decided to order one of the partial decals that just covers most of the hood similar to yours. I don't have a skewp though, so I don't foresee it being as difficult as yours. Looks really well done.
Don't give up. Try again, use the wet technique you can do it!
Purchased a smittybilt roof top tent. Have a set of cbi bed bars on the way, but for now a couple 2x4's and some heavy duty ratchet straps are keeping it in place.
Totally changes camping. Can't believe I waited this long to get one of these things.

Jeep wrangler, new model 2018 and up thus far. Like CJ, YJ or TJ, the new ones are JL's. The U refers to "unlimited" which is a 4-door version.

Added some CBI overland bars and some Leitner bed stiffeners (planning on their bed rack system at some point, figured I'd get their brand of stiffeners so I don't hose myself later).
Rack is nice, easy to install, very solid. Just the clearance I was looking for under the tent and above my decked system. Enough space for some luggage, etc.
Bed stiffeners also were an easy install, a couple of holes to drill into my one year old truck, no biggie.

I really like those tents but I don't camp enough to justify it. I do keep a tent in my bed box. BTW if you're bored and have nothing to do can you get some pictures of the inside
Now if I had this I would definitely get it one, Nice and out-of-the-way & it doesn't take up any usable space.

Yep, had my JL set up to do that just before I sold it. Rust and Jeep problems got in the way.
here's a couple interior shots. Super comfy, very different experience from the ground. One actually has a mattress.

Hey guys,
Pondering selling this Tacoma. Just purchased a land cruiser, don't need two overlanding vehicles (or really three, my wife drives a gx460).
Figured I'd give you all a crack at it first before I run to CarMax
2020, 22k miles. TrdPro with all factory options except the snorkel. You can read above to see the list of minor mods, the most significant of which are the hidden winch (smittybilt 10k lb) and the decked drawer system.
No current or past problems, runs great, factory warranty still intact. All service done at Toyota dealership.
Note: I plan to keep the roof top tent.

Tried a plug repair, but still leaking. Kind of embarrassing, it was about 1/4 inch long, still punctured the tire. I suppose I could go get it patched...but...
