If you're going to lift you should definitely upgrade. If not you can buy my old rear Bilsteins if you want. They're just sitting here.

Replacing rear shocks is an important maintenance task that helps keep your vehicle stable and comfortable. Worn shocks can cause bouncy rides, poor handling, and uneven tire wear. Signs you might need new shocks include excessive bouncing, nose-diving during braking, or leaking fluid.

The replacement process generally involves lifting the vehicle, removing the old shocks, and installing new ones. It’s crucial to use the correct shocks for your vehicle model to ensure proper performance. After installation, it’s a good idea to check the alignment and test drive to make sure everything is working smoothly.

Regularly inspecting and replacing rear shocks as needed improves safety, ride quality, and overall vehicle performance.

Ok so I have a ? If you change the rear shocks how does affect the rear alignment if you don't loosen leaf springs ,I total see if you change out rear leafs things could shift but just for shocks? Just asking thanks .I always thought these places that offer 4 wheel alignment was weird unless you have independent rear end then maybe that could shift some ?

You are correct, changing the rear shocks on a Tacoma should not affect the rear alignment. They are just dampers. If you loosen the leaf spring it might slightly shift the rear axle but just changing the rear shocks should have zero effect on the alignment.
