Front valance

I have a 2020 Tacoma and I lifted it 3” and put on bigger tires. In doing so I had to add spacers and now I’m hitting the front valance. When you do this did you have to cut/remove the valance?

This thing or the paint colored part of the bumper?

Most people remove the entire valance. Trimming it would look weird. Like a thong or pubic mound. Maybe even like Mater.
Don't think I've seen anyone trim it. Offroading and you might smash down on it. Get ripped off anyway and cause damage. I'd just remove it properly.

Removing it will look better. You'll have better gas mileage if you trim it and leave the bulk of it in place. Heavy duty scissors should work fine, though I've used a soldering hot tip for some of my plastic trim work, works great.
But you didn't lift it to get better gas mileage, did you?

I'm not lifted yet, it was the first thing I did was remove it. Looks goofy to me. I prefer the look without it. Much more agressive looking
