For off road/aux lighting exterior to the truck, I have a 30" ijdmtoy single row light bar, with 6" amber covers on each side, my stock Rigid Ind. led fogs, and hood/ditch ExtremeLED Stackerz light pods (same design as the KC Hilites Flex pods), mounted on Cali Raised low profile hood ditch brackets, and Morimoto 6k HIDs for my low beams. Please see photos, which include a shot of where I mounted the switches for the pods and bar. I forget the brand but I used a 3D printed bracket that sits where the little cubby was, to the left of the steering wheel.

I was originally wanting the KC Flex pods, but then I discovered the Stackerz and did some research. There wasn't much to go off of on YouTube, and admittedly ExtremeLED's own video about it is quite disappointing, but I found a couple Tacoma World threads that more than made up for all that. Because of the design being comparable to the Flex pods, the threads covered both pod light usage and if the pods were strung together like a light bar. Anyway, I'm very happy with them. The light output is excellent and suits my needs very well.

The bar from ijdmtoy has been excellent. A lot of people swear by the name brand stuff, which is just fine of course, but I've seen a lot of people bash this bar for what I think is no good reason. The important thing for light bars is that they have CREE lighting, and this one does. For the record, I do wish that the brackets came up perhaps a quarter of an inch higher, but it's not the biggest complaint in the world. I can swap the brackets out for a different brand if I wish. As it is, the bottom edge of the bar sits along the bottom edge of the space for the bar which is fine. More importantly though, light output has been great, it throws light nice and far which I like and has been great when I need it.

I picked up Morimoto 6k HIDs for my low beams and they've also been great. Light output is incredible, and a massive improvement over the stock headlamp lighting. Definitely recommend going with HIDs if you haven't already.

Lastly, I installed raptor style grille amber markers. Purely a cosmetic option of course, but they look great. Ran them to the fuse box in the cab and they come on whenever the aux power off the battery comes on/in use. I.e. turn the key in the ignition and they're on

If you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask.

Yeah I've been eyeing the Cali Raised and Rago Fab brackets to possibly replace mine if I decide it's necessary. For now, it's fine though. This photo may be sufficient to demonstrate how close the bar is to the base of the open space for the bar, and why I would prefer if it came up a touch more, but it's not a priority either. It still throws plenty of light as it should

Next are ditch lights, just gotta fix my wallet first.
Hey I hear you. Priorities first, play second.

Got any specific ditch lights in mind?

@CaliRaisedLED low profile brackets with the pods. I will admit I thought about getting round ditch lights like on Jeeps. Never see that on Tacos...

You talking about the lamp looking ones? Like the big KC ones?

I've seen them as light bars on the roof, one of the guys I follow on IG has them light that. But you're right, haven't seen them as ditch lights on a taco yet. Curious about how that would look.

Perhaps someone local to you has some of those lamps and you could hold up in the space where they'd sit and get an idea of what you think of them. Fitment may also be a factor. If the back of the lamp comes back too far, it could interfere with the hood opening fully

That's a nice jeep. But yeah, just looking at them I can tell that I would want to mock them up or hold them in place and see. The body of those lamps are huge and I feel like they'd surely hit the windshield with the hood open. And if I'm wrong, I would like to hear of it for my own knowledge lol

I actually hate her lights now. They’re pretty old so they’re way too huge and not LED. For a pretty high price, I could buy really nice looking thin LED ones. But they’re like $600 I think.

Definitely pricey lol well whatever you decide, I look forward to seeing your posts about it

@Tyler Do you have direct contact with CaliRaisedLED? maybe we can work something out to get a package deal going for the brackets with possibly some of the pods and bars we have?

As of right now I am running the Baja designs squadron pro lights on the SDHQ ditch light brackets, KC HIlites amber fogs, super bright DDM tuning 5000k HID’s and the rough country 30” grill light bar and controlling it all from my newly installed Switch pro 9100

The SDHQ mounts are amazing and are 1/4 thick instead of the 1/8” like everyone else, super stout.
