Baja Designs: Plug and Play, Fog Pocket Kit for 2016+ Tacoma

These lights are equipped with uService Technology. The lens color or pattern can be changed in a matter of minutes. All you have to do is purchase a replacement lens kit and take a couple minutes of your time.

The kit offered by Baja is legit. I will say that even the Squadron Sports have to be turned off when another car is approaching due to how high the fog light housing is positioned on the Tacomas...so I upgraded to the squadron Pro model that is brighter since I can’t use them on the road with traffic anyway. 253CB072-1878-4EAC-8E18-FBCD2E7EF689.webp

@Baja Designs i just bought a set of S2 Sport flush mounts. Looks like flush mounting isn’t gonna be an option, so I was wondering if there is an option to change the front bezel in order to use them as they are traditionally mounted.

Thanks, Mike

Give us a call or email [email protected]
Since they are new we can exchange them or send you standard bezels and hardware. Jason (or one of our other customer service reps) will get it handled for you.

SAE Lighting - Update

Many people have heard information from myself and others at BD regarding SAE approved lighting. We are NOT releasing these until 2019 and can only share very few details until then. Expect more information in the New Year...

- Squadron Series housing
- Lights will be sold with or without Vehicle Specific Kits
- The goal is to have the pair of lights sell for under $300
- No information at this time on adapting SAE approved lens and optics to older Squadron Series Lights

Thanks for all of the interest. More details including an expected release date will be posted in the New Year :)

We are still aiming for a release in the first quarter of 2019. Our ETA at this time is towards the end of February or March.

The goal is to start pre-orders at the end of this month or in February. I'll post details as we get closer to starting pre-orders.

Thanks, Everyone!

SAE approved is not synonymous with DOT approved correct? What is the benefit of waiting for the SAE, excuse my ignorance, i just have no idea. Any discounts ordering through the Tacoma 3g vendor? :geek::unsure:

They are not the same. ShikyoX posted some good info on the differences. The main benefit of waiting is this light will be considered street-friendly and could be used under most conditions. As of now, our lights are too bright to be used on the street with oncoming traffic. We are excited to be releasing something a little more street friendly.

Just wanna thank @Baja Designs for being an awesome company willing to take the step forward to help there customers, to make life a bit easier ! I dont know how many on this forums have had issues regarding auxiliary lighting /modified lighting , as "lighting laws" differ from country to country , state to state , province to province. But they are there, and they exist hard to find these laws sometimes and like most laws they can be confusing and contradict itself or other laws and of course all depenable on the officer who pulls you over. I have ahead a few issues in my life regarding lighting .
But bajadeisgns doing this just let's us have an amazing product and one less thing to possibly bring an issue

I love mine but just may "downgrade" to the newest more subtle lights so I can use them more often in daily driving.

February 7, 2019 | UPDATE

Unfortunately, we ran into a delay for these lights. There are a few details we are working out before these lights can be released to market. We are aiming to provide the best SAE approved lighting as soon as we can.

ETA: June, 2019

Baja Designs | SAE Approved Lighting | 4/25 UPDATE

Our team is working hard to release the SAE approved lighting. The ETA is currently set for June. White will be the first color released. We are currently working on getting the Amber finalized. I hope to start Pre-Orders soon. Please keep an eye out for details!

Note: There will NOT be an SAE Lens Kit available. SAE approved lights use a completely different lens and optic compared to the normal Squadron. Customers will have the option to send their light in to be upgraded, I hope to share pricing and other details soon.

Squadron SAE | UPDATE

I wanted to post an update on the Squadron SAE. There was a delay in receiving LEDs for these units and we aren't able to receive production quantities until late July. The good news is Amber was approved and we will be offering White and Amber lighting upon release.

ETA has been moved to Late July / Early August. I'll post more updates as we have them

PRE-ORDER COMING SOON
