Doesn’t seem like there is much going on this year with the fourth being on a Wednesday. Everyone has to get up for work in the morning.

Yeah I had to wake up at my normal time 3:45 am, so just a few brews and BBQ
 
I gave in and we all went to the in-laws last night. They live off Rio Salado in Tempe and have a 3-story place with balconies so we were able to sit and watch the Tempe fireworks show without any walking / dealing with the crowds. Still a lot of traffic getting to and from their place but it wasn't too bad.

Beer was in short supply, but I can't drink much there anyways because I have to watch every word I say in the presence of the ultra-left. Don't want to trigger anyone. :rolleyes:

Super gross. When I say ultra-left, I mean full-blown socialist hippies. Hybrid-driving, reusable produce bag carrying, hemp shoe wearing, ban everything swearing, tax everything touting, hand-out taking, censor everything screaming pinkos. Four of them, under one roof. It's suffocating.

I think there is a medal for surviving an evening like that. I got lucky. Pissed off my in-laws in 98. Haven't spoken or seen them since.
