Az bs thread.

How did you hook up sub inputs without a loc? Did you just splice the RCA's?

Ran a harness for the headunit. 9 wire to amp, rca to the 9 wire to plug unit amp. Amp can take direct inputs.

Wait until it breaks in.
Just upon plugging it in, the whole system sounds better. Still need to tune, but I think I am going to upgrade the receiver here in a month or so to really get the most out of everything. The low frequency stuff this thing picks up is unreal!! And I have it turned way down and have not done any room correction yet.

I'm not an audiophile and I don't know what most of this stuff is, but I do know the stock sound system in my truck is muddy garbage. Are there simple, plug-and-play components to clean up the sound and add a little bit of range without resorting to adding amps and subs and shit?
I did just some 6x9s, those Subaru tweeters, some two way 6.5s a small amp and sub in my buddy's 2016. Sounds so much better.

Works but you are loosing voltage by not having a good LOC installed. That's the best part about audio, whatever makes you happy works.

I def had to play with the gains and whatnot a little more without the LOC. It's just so much simpler. I now have area under the passenger seat (where the LOC was previously located) for the CB radio receiver

Old LOC set up.

Anyone else get a wild ass wind storm last night? It was like being inside a tornado at my place! There was a sensation inside the entire house that felt and sounded like you were standing right underneath the A/C intake in your house... like the air was being pulled straight up all around you, with a constant, even wind howl. It sucked the sunscreens off my exterior windows and moved around 35lb patio chairs like they were paper bags! It was nuts!

I've never thought of that. Seems weird to me, but makes sense.
Excuse me. I farted! My bad.
