Anyone with softtopper and uptop overland truss rack? Leaking/gaps

I recently installed the new uptop overland truss rack with a soft topper and i've got some terrible gaps. I believe i've followed the instructions as worded but the uptop overland bed rack feet. the Bracket uptop overland provided to pull the rear aluminum bar does not work with the bracket that holds the bar in place. Am i doing something wrong? Anyone else have a similar problem?
