So I want add some fog lights to the truck. Don’t exactly know the best way to go about it. This is the first Taco I have had that didn’t come with fog lights. Is there a retrofit kit or something aftermarket that will work? Thanks in advance for the help

This is the best write-up I've seen on adding fogs to an SR the "correct" OEM-looking way:

The wiring and parts required would be different if you were to put LED pods there in lieu of OEM fogs, and also different if you wanted to run the fogs off of a separate switch rather than the OEM headlight stalk, etc. There's a lot of different ways to go about doing it since you're basically starting from scratch on your truck with no prewire.

On my old SR, I opted to go with an LED pod retrofit and wire to a separate switch. I wasn't trying to make it look factory and I wanted to be able to run the fogs without the headlights if I wanted to. In this case, you'd install them and wire them just like you would any other accessory lights (ditch lights, dust light, etc.).

There are a bunch of different kits out there. I prefer the RIGID kit. I think it is gives the truck, for a lack of a better term, a rigid, industrial look. I like it. Plus Rigid has an SAE light that is both street legal and a solid offroad light. They are not a direct plug and play. But you can either wire it with the wire harness it comes with or just connect the wire from the light to your stock fog wire with a connector. Here are some pics and links. The lights have a life time warranty, the product has a 30 day guarantee. Solid stuff and the output and spread of this light is top of the line.

Love the way the kits from Baja Designs look, and their lights are insane quality. Not sure if they are designed to work with non-light optioned trucks though.

We'd love to set you up with a Baja Designs Fog Light Kit!

These are 100% Plug and Play on vehicles equipped with factory fogs, but will also work on the other trucks. You will need to purchase the Fog Shroud from Toyota to replace the blank ones. Besides that, here is the wiring harness you'll need. It will give you everything to install these lights with an On/Off switch inside the truck.

This is exactly what I am looking for!!!

Did everything like the post on Tacomaworld for a pre wired SR. Not working at all and not getting any replies to my questions. If anyone here has an understanding of relays, switches, and what not....... please reach out. Yea...... I could use the relay that came with the Rigids but I'm really trying for a close to factory look.
