So I've been noticing a lot of misalignment issues while working around my truck and wondering if anyone else has seen anything similar with their rig. The bed to be exact.
It first started with the driver side corner bottom of the tailgate. It was there the day I bought it new and figured something was in there rubbing. But it kept getting worse.

Next project comes along and its time for bed stiffeners. Passenger side goes on smoothly. Driver side wont line up with the factory tie down hole

The spacing from the taillights to bumper and tailgate gaps are all greater on the passenger side vs the driver side

And the gap near the hinge. Driver vs Passenger

Sorry for the long winded post. I've been trying to figure out what happened to this thing. It's been like this since I got it with 85 miles on it. Is it possible to have an improperly mounted bed from the factory? Is it possible the frame was bent unloading it and the dealer covered it up?

When I took my bed off there was a lot of misalignment issues. So it’s probably fairly common. As long as it’s not causing any issues with any part not working correctly, should be good.

Most of it looked like it would be easy to fix. If you have the time.

Thanks for the reply! I plan on taking the rack off for the winter. Sounds like a good weekend project. Need to make sure everything is straight before I put the high clearance bumper on.
