• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

It's great. I have a Note 8 with a case and it has no issues holding it in place. No movement from the DMM either.
  5. Sota166

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Installed the DMM from @The Taco Garage. This system is easy to install and soooo clean!

Canopies w/RTT for DCLB - Is it possible??

I have the Leer XR and a Front Runner rack. I had the same questions you did. My plan was to add aftermarket reinforcement to the topper (canopy) after I got it but I couldn't it find anything. After a lot of research without really finding any options I decided not to worry about it. Went out...

I don't know of any trails south of the Twin Cities, they are all far north. Cabelas in Owatonna could be good. At least you guys coming from Iowa or farther away could also use the trip to stop in there (I'm assuming we all like places like Cabelas?) Otherwise in Lakeville there is Venture...

@Audidood I ordered the same kit on Sunday at 2 am and most of it will be here on the 17th. Unfortunately the amount trails in MN are lacking. There is a project called the Border to Border Touring Trail but it's not final or complete. It will run from Superior to North Dakota if/when finished. I haven't heard of Iron Horse but ill look into it. Always happy to hear about trails!

I will definitely check out the bed stiffeners. I think I'll probably end up getting a Front Runner for the topper and cab eventually. I've seen a few Tacomas like that and I love the clean, flat line. I appreciate the help.
