• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Dogs. We all love them, let's see them!

I love Akitas, they're walking blankets. A friend back in VA has two and whenever we would hang out, his dogs would leave him and cuddle up as close as they could to me. Absolutely adorable but also made it difficult to get off the couch to grab a beer.

30 lbs of pure trouble. I'm pretty sure she's one of those new fangled breeds.... "a fogarooacrytodhusky" (fox-kangaroo-goat-crying toddler-husky). She can leap a 6' fence without a running start, her favorite snacks while on the trail are weeds, and she'd sell me out for a belly rub and a piece...

    Gamertags for XBOX/PS4

Xbox and PS4 : inkedstiletto When I have time: Forza, cod and sometimes GTA. Thinking about picking up Need for Speed but I haven't been sold on it yet.

    Tacoma World

I'm currently healing my left hand from my husband's truck. Went under early to see if my wrench would fit his oil filter and burnt my hand on his exhaust.

This will be our second time apart (first time was 3,000 miles - which is why I'm now in the PNW and just shy of a year while we were still dating) but the first time OCONUS. I'm hoping to be able to travel over in 2021 or 2022, but it's going to take a while to get everything here in order...

Just need to vent and I know a lot of you will understand the whole ordeal of frustrating military orders. Husband is once again needs of the Navy so we just found out today that Japan will definitely be his next duty station - leaving in the next 7-12 weeks....I'll be staying stateside because...

    Dropped

From what I've been reading, it is but I'll verify before purchasing. With such a small drop, I don't see it doing any harm at the moment but if I want to go much lower, I'll have to notch the frame and probably lose my front diff.

    Leaking front bed corners

You sound like one of the "welders" I inspected. He literally added silicone to cover up the fact that the toe of his weld wasn't in compliance and hoped that I wouldn't look at it closely. He thought the silicone would prevent fuel from leaking into the next compartment

    Dropped

That's a big part of why I want to do it. I was going to lift it but then realized it would look like almost 80% of every other Tacoma in my area (WA State) and while I enjoy hiking and camping, it's not my life and I don't have the ability to go every weekend or even every few months. So rather...

    Leaking front bed corners

Any photos? Also, depending on where the slit is, would bed stiffeners be a possible viable solution to pull the sides together?

    Leaking front bed corners

@Hellrazor762 OEM Trifold or aftermarket? I've got the OEM and haven't had any issues with leaking corners except for the one time where I drove through a heavy side rain off and on for four hours from Portland. Then again, even with that leak, it was still minimal and I haven't had an issue since.

    Dropped

So I think I'm going to take the Yota in a completely different direction and drop it. Just not sure if I want to do a static drop or if I want to bite the bullet and wait to do air ride. I've been looking at this kit...

Why do y'all do this to me after Christmas and my yearly HOA dues. (Jan 1....HOA is due for the year. I hate HOAs)

Surprisingly enough, it's actually being hosted at the dealership where I bought my truck. One of the guys who runs their social media page is in the 3GT group on FB and he took suggestions from people and presented it to the owner and then my husband plays softball with one of the techs. I know...
