I think we all have an understanding of the nature of stock Tacoma brakes- mediocre. Bad even, when Tacomas are a bit heavy like mine when carrying moto on back, camping gear, whatnot.
For this and my last Tacoma, I switched to these rotors which at least avoid warping like the stock rotors. I have found few pads better than the OEM, however.
The next step I'm considering is stainless steel brake lines, in front at least. I'm not concerned about accommodating huge lifts, I just wonder if the stainless braided lines will offer better braking performance.
Anyone out there who has done this?

It has been my experience with performance car builds that braided soft lines won't make a dramatic difference in the Tacoma platform. That said their are some benefits to include abrasion resistance and you may notice a little more firmness on the brake pedal.

How bad is the warping problem? I'm at 15k miles, and can already detect a little wobble when I press the brakes at high speeds. Was going to get the rotors turned.

I have found the exact opposite, in multiple car builds as well as my Tacoma.

@CalifExplorer the factory rubber brake lines flex a lot when you hit your pedal. Not only do they flex along their length, they swell, especially over time as they start to wear out. Have somebody press really hard on the brakes while you are watching. Stainless steel braided lines are much stiffer, don’t flex as much, are way more difficult to swell the ID, therefore giving you a stiffer more positive pedal feel. Even with a ton of extra armor weight, 17” beadlocks, and 37x12.5” heavy ass krawler TA tires, and having extended stainless brake lines, I felt an improvement over stock. Now add in abrasion resistance and added strength and it’s a easy decision in my book.
