Hey there, just bought a 2016 v6 with 97,000 on the clock. I jumped in to go to the parts store this morning and when I put it in gear it plumed white smoke for a second or two. I didn’t get a chance to smell the smoke, it has never overheated on me and from what I can tell it’s not consuming coolant. Please help, my wife will kill me if I bought a f*ckin lemon.

except now I’m wondering what else could be causing the smoke puffs, it happened right before I did the test and this time I was able to smell it, it doesn’t smell sweet like coolant burn off does, it’s smelled carbon like, so I’m not sure. Any ideas? I live in “high altitude” (CO) and the truck is from the east coast. I wonder if I need a tune or need to run a systems cleaner
