Hi All
I have a 2017 Tacoma that just rolled over 100,000 KMs. I noticed a different sound at idle the other day and have been investigating that wasn’t the injector cleaning cycle (at least I don’t think). It is intermittent and will sometimes occur and sometimes not.

I first cleaned my MAF and Throttle body. I noticed that when I was cleaning the throttle body that the PCV hose was undone on the bottom against the engine but THINK it happened when I was undoing the intake hose but I can’t be sure. Either way I connected it.

This led me to finding this wet residue around the PCV hose and immediate area. Trying to figure out what’s going on and any help would be appreciated. I’ve attached some pictures of the wet area front and back as well as oil level.

Thanks for any help.

It’s probably oil. Since the pcv is a crankcase vent. That’s why some run a catch can for the oil to collect instead of having it vent back into the engine.
if you are worried about a leak clean the area and check it after driving a bit. It will probably be dry but it never hurts to double check
