• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

So yesterday I got on the throttle and I heard a vibration from under the hood. Initially I thought it might be the K&N intake but everything feels tight. I've jostled everything I can grab and can't find anything loose enough to hit against anything else.. All the plastic seems tight. Had a friend today look under the hood while I rev'd it up, no vibration. But I heard it again on the way home when the engine kicked down and the RPM's went up. Wondering if anyone might have a suggestion to check? I know it's kind of vague..

I found that there's a little movement in the fan clutch and an idler pulley. Very slight. Not supposed to be any movement there, correct?
